I am excited about entering a new chapter in my life, but my heart is full with gratitude for the patronage and friendship that I've been shown over the 26 + years that I have been in practice in Santa Cruz County, along with a lot of sadness at saying goodbye to my clients and patients. I have been blessed with an abundance of sweet animal patients and caring human clients and I have truly enjoyed working with you all.

Please let us know if you would like us to send your pets' records to the veterinarian of your choice or directly to you. We will keep the [email protected] email address up and running for ease of communication. Many thanks for your patronage and all the kindness you have shown over the years. San Cayetano Veterinary Hospital is a veterinary hospital that combines modern medicine with old-fashioned caring.
Services
San Cayetano Veterinary Hospital was built in 2003 by Dr. Daniel Horton. Prior to that, Dr. Horton operated San Cayetano Veterinary Services as a house call practice that began serving the communities of Rio Rico, Nogales, Tumacacori, Carmen, Tubac, and Amado in 1995. Animals have become increasingly important in our lives.
Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us immediately! We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Our emergency team consists of the veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life.
In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you should expect high quality care as well as great service. Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. Our commitment to you is to continue to offer our world class service and a state of the art veterinary facility.
Many dog owners admire the unique looks and personalities of purebreds, but also worry about the fate of millions of pets euthanized each year. What many people don't realize is that there are specific breed rescue organizations for almost every breed of dog, placing dogs in need to new homes. If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership.
Payment in full is expected at the time of your pet's discharge. A deposit may be required in advance for some services, including emergency care. Estimates will be provided for all services. We accept pet insurance from most providers and actively encourage pet owners to insure their pets. Ask us for insurance information and recommendations.

Our baby Gigi was stuck with parvo (teacup poodle) very young and very sick.. they gave us hope and admitted her immediately, aggressive care and hyper vigilance from the staff allowed for our baby to fight and she was discharged three days later.. the staff and doctors at this place are angels.
