A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged helping the dentist and dental hygienist detect problems easier.

Called this morning for an emergency when they opened, they were able to get us in for a 10:00 appt. We were called back within 10 mins of arrival. Ms Janet (RDA) was amazing with my lil man, she was patient & listened to him. Dr Peter was very nice, he took the time to explain what was happening. He didn't push anything on us (like some dentist do) which was great. We have found our new family dentist!

Very pleased with Dr. Peter and the entire office in general. I called at 8 am on a Friday for urgent dental care. An 18 year old cracked a tooth while camping in Yosemite the previous night and was in pain with a chip and fracture of the tooth. I was given an appointment for 9:50 am, enough time to drive from Wawona, and was seen by 9:55. Xrays were done and an anesthetic/sealant was applied, both very efficiently. Dr. Peter gave good advice about further treatment with private dentist, taking care of the immediate situation without pushing for more work than necessary, although he clearly would

I've been going to Dr. Peters practice for 22 years, since it was Dr. Jones's pratice. The care is always top notch, and I've always been impressed by how the staff is always doing continuing education to do the latest techniques. The office is beautiful and bright, and looks more like a spa. For the few emergencies I've had, the staff has been very responsive and fit me right in, and they have a good network of specialists to call on if needed. My hygienists have always been friendly and personable and make the cleaning go by fast. They've been great with my kids too

I have seen Dr. Peter twice to date. I found his office to be very clean, the staff friendly, professional, and at ease in their surroundings. The office contains the latest equipment, and the hygienist was excellent. I had a snafu with my insurance and working with Dr. Peter and his staff resulted in a resolution that I found fair and reasonable - I was pleased.

I was originally quite impressed with the website and general friendly demeanor of the front desk staff when beginning my treatment here. I have had experiences with several different dentists over the years and have had a wide range of treatments and procedures done, mainly in the UK. In short, I know a good dentist from a bad one.
My first issue was with the initial wait time for my first appointment. I waited for 55 minutes to be seen and was not offered any kind of reason or apology. I certainly don't mind waiting for treatment, but 55 minutes is not a short amount of time considering
