Update to my May 2020 review:
It’s been several months since the insurance company finally agreed that Dr. Shoemaker was attempting to bill for a second lower denture and that he should not be billing us the difference between the network savings amount and amount billed since his services were performed as a Network Provider.
This ruling meant that we are due a $1906.20 refund from the money we paid him in full in January of 2019. We requested the refund and gave Dr. Shoemaker additional time to do the right thing, however we have heard nothing from his office since they attempted to bill

I am sad to report back that my views on this Dentist has changed due to an appointment I had a few weeks after my 4 wisdom teeth were extracted. I wanted to keep the previous review but this one exceeded the limit so I had to delete it and because that was my thoughts then. I had no intentions of deleting my review or making a revision even after my appointment until I saw that over 100 people have viewed it. After I received the notification from yahoo about all the viewers, my conscience wouldn’t

I have been to So Many Dentists in my life, and DDS. Shoemaker (I call him Dr.) Is the Greatest! Dr. Shoemaker not only is he Highly Skilled, but has a Wonderful Personality! His hands are Steady, and his eyes are Keen!.
Dr. Shoemaker has replaced one of my Empty slots, with an Implant, and I am So, So Happy! Now, for the other side of my palette. All of the Ladies who work with Dr. Shoemaker are so Friendly, and they put you right at ease! Such an Amazing Team!

I’ve been a patient for greater than 30 years, John Shoemaker has been very professional, excellent skills in dentistry, very compassionate! I have had several implants with excellent results! I would not dare switch to another dentist, he’s the best and gets 5 stars from me! Oh! Dr. Shoemaker has excellent rapport with his patients and very efficient in all of his work!

I would not recommend him to my worst enemy he doesn't listen to his patients he doesn't care what they want he does what he wants to the patient. I went to him because I have four teeth in the back of my mouth that are rotting and breaking he decided against what I was requesting and he did very very expensive cosmetic work on my front teeth. I am still in incredible pain every day it is gotten to where my teeth are so broken they are cutting my tongue while I eat. I also told him that I could not afford a huge bill that I just wanted the four teeth pulled. Instead of listening to me and relieving

Dr Shoemaker was patient with me, and eased my fears. The staff is so kind, helpful and also patient with me. It was a lot different than I expected due to TV ads that promise same day. Dr Shoemaker is a perfectionist, and it shows in my smile. It was a year when the permanent teeth went in, but well worth the wait. I now smile in pictures instead of hiding from them. I would do it over again and highly recommend this Dentist and Staff.

Dr. Shoemaker and his staff are the best! I've been seeing them for about a year now, and couldn't be happier. Yesterday, my wife had a dental emergency, and although they had never treated her before as a patient, Tammy did everything she could to fit her in to a packed schedule. In the end, it required a root canal, and Dr. Shoemaker somehow found a way to get her back in for that procedure the same day. Fantastic job! Very friendly, professional, and family centered practice. Seeing my wife walk out of the office with a smile on her face was a total relief.
