Community Preschool-Whitefish
Community Preschool offers a play-based preschool program in which children learn social skills, independence, and cooperation all while doing what they do best - playing! Below, you will find videos from our teachers with frequently asked open house questions. During the pandemic, we are not offering visits while school is in session.

Working together with other parents and our staff- our school comes to life and embodies the true spirit of Community! We have many opportunities for students and their families to come together and celebrate special events at Community Preschool of WFB.
Services
We require your child's enrollment application to include a non-refundable $50 application fee. Once your child is accepted to Community Preschool and placed in a class, a non-refundable $200 tuition deposit will be due. We understand that many of our families have children in other schools and that conflicting start/dismissal times can be a challenge.
Community Preschool is a parent cooperative preschool, and parents play a vital role in the daily functioning and overall running of the school. Our commitment has remained steadfast since our founding in 1971. Housing Committee: Help with minor repairs and periodic facility-related tasks, and do a deep cleaning of the classroom a couple times during the school year.
Wizard Experiment - We perform a simple science experiment that involves hypothesis, observation, and conclusion. For example, in our transportation unit, we have items that we try to roll down a ramp. We guess if it will roll, try it, and make some generalizations about the results. Art - We choose art projects that introduce your child to a variety of experiences.
Our Toddler room is full of opportunities to encourage discovery and establish the building blocks for future learning. The daily schedule includes large motor play, art, music, reading, snack time, and of course, lots of fun exploration!. Cathy has a BS in Elementary Education from UW-Milwaukee, and in addition, she has over 20 graduate credits in elementary education.

The combination of brilliant teaching and parent cooperation has made Community Preschool a truly community-building experience for our entire family. We are so lucky to have found a school home for our children here, and look forward to all of the opportunities to engage in fun-filled learning together.

Great place for preschoolers and toddlers to be introduced to new people and to learn through, not only the instruction, but playing with what/whoever they are interested in. And the new playground is fantastic!

Community Preschool has been the perfect place for my kids to get ready to go to kindergarten, with their focus on helping children to become independent, build friendships, and follow a structured school day. I also love that both of my kids could start going three days and build up to four days a week in the afternoon program - makes next year's five days a week so much easier!
