Estate planning is the creation of a definite plan for managing your wealth while you're alive and distributing it after your death. Your estate includes all assets of any value that you own, including real property, business interests, investments, insurance proceeds, personal property and your personal effects.
A Will is an important part of any estate plan. Every adult should have a Will since tragic, unexpected events however unlikely can occur at any age. Without a Will, the distribution of your estate will be determined by Pennsylvania law. Having an experienced attorney draft your Will is the best way to ensure that everything is properly done and that your wishes are carried out.
When people think of Trusts, they may think of very wealthy people who have lots of assets that need to be protected. While it is true that large estates should almost always have Trusts to manage the transfer of property, in Minnesota a lot of average-income families are discovering the benefits of setting up a Trust as well.
A Power of Attorney, also known as a Durable Power of Attorney, allows a person to act on your behalf. While you as the principal can decide what powers to give this person, who is known as your "agent" or "attorney-in-fact, " in general these powers deal with financial matters such as banking transactions and transactions involving your property.
A living will, sometimes known as an advance health care directive, is a legal document in which a person provides instructions for what actions should or should not be taken with respect to their health care or medical care in the event the person becomes unable to make those decisions for themselves due to illness or incapacity.

They did a better job at ensuring the agreement & terms of our partnership was equally covered between each partner incase of a split & cost a lot less, which the big firm in Lancaster did not & cost a boat load more. When our partnership did split the big firm's legal documents held no weight & left our partnership split with one partner NOT being responsible for any debt and getting 1/3 of the assets, another partner holding all the debt & the other partner not... One good thing came out of this; the partner holding all the debt, his wife, children, & friends stood by him & believed in him..

I want to express my gratitude for the efforts by Young & Young in resolving my parents estate. My siblings & their wives made this a very difficult process to navigate. We needed to work through their unreasonable and irrational requests on a regular basis. The advice & assistance from JD & Susan (The voices of reason) helped us get to a fair resolution. In the end; we were able to get this behind us for an outcome that my parents would appreciate. I highly recommend them and I am now working with them on my estate planning.

I needed a lawyer to help me settle my father's estate and was very fortunate to have Susan help me. It was one of the worse times of my life and Susan was very kind and understanding. Having her help me took the huge weight off my shoulders of making sure everything got done legally right. She took care of every thing that needed to be done in a timely and professional manner. I am so glad I chose her to be my lawyer. I can honesty say that I highly recommend Susan and her office if anyone needs a lawyer.
