I have the best job in the world! The most common comment after my sessions is, "That was fun." (with more than a little surprise) The crazy thing is, in a time where we are taking more photos than ever, the importance and reverence that we once held for portraits has waned. We are often so busy just "getting through life", we forget to slow down for a minute and notice the beauty around, and maybe more importantly, IN us.
My hope is to help you find the beauty you may have forgotten you have, to capture the connections you share with the people you love and to commemorate those milestones in life that you will share with your family for generations to come. Services
Photography has always been one of my great loves and I have several totes of old double prints and negatives as proof. After hesitantly making the switch to digital in 2004, my photography world was unbelievably expanded. As a gift to my good friend, I shot my first wedding in 2007. At the end of the day I was exhausted and felt a bit like a stalker.
Historically, preparing for family photos is seen as a stressful and arduous process. With a little preparation, I hope I can help take the pain out of the process and create an experience that is fun and captures who you are as a family. What should we wear? Feeling comfortable is one of the most important elements of outfit choices.

We hired Carrie to take family photos for our parents' 50th Anniversary gathering near Yosemite. She is amazing!! The pictures are beautiful and brought tears to my eyes more than a few times. I really love her candid, in-the-moment photo style. We have very "stoic" men in our family and she managed to capture them smiling and relaxed. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives.

Carrie is a talented and creative photographer. She captures beautiful moments that you'll treasure for years to come. We have had the pleasure of working with her several times before so hiring her to do our wedding this June was a "no brainer". She was very attentive and worked efficiently before and during the entire event.
