When our local (Fritch) animal hospital REFUSED to see my badly hurt, potentially dying little border collie, I took her to Hi Plains, and they took her in-she was hit by a vehicle, and had 3 badly damaged legs. THEY SAVED HER LIFE!!!! She is now recovering at home, and is a really fast moving 3 legged dog, as one hind leg was so damaged it required amputation. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY PET OWNER IN TEXAS!!!!

I can not thank these sweet people enough for making this terrible horrible time better for me. It’s been almost a year now and it has taken me this long to write a review and I’m sorry it’s taken me this long!!! You guys are absolutely amazing Doctor Joe and Cherie thank you so much for being with me at the end of my Baby Leo’s life!! You guys are the best

The best Veterinary Hospital in the panhandle. I’ve used them for everything from surgery, to routine, to boarding. Even trusted them with Bevo’s last moments. This past week I unexpectedly had to go to the hospital, so boarded Cricket & Lillie. When I got out of the hospital this afternoon, I went to get them. High Plains didn’t charge me boarding fee because of my hospitalization. I live alone so don’t have immediate options for my pets. It’s great to know they’re always in such great, caring hands. I highly recommend them.

The staff and vets are friendly and the place is cleaner than it was several years ago, but I am no longer recommending them. Twice I have had medical emergencies with me pets, but they would not clear any room to see them because they were booked up. No questions, no exceptions, you have to take the next available appointment which could be days away. Thank goodness other vets out of town did make room, but having to put added stress on a sick pet is obviously less than ideal. We will be looking into other options.
