Services
Gary has over 36 years of experience as a physical therapist treating patients with orthopaedic, spine and sports injuries, as well as, functional capacity evaluations and pre-employment screenings. Our PT tech has 3 years of medical assistance experience. She aids the physical therapist in the care and monitoring of patients while they are in the clinic.
Here are some of the common questions asked by new patients. Why are people referred to physical therapy? You and others may be referred to physical therapy because of a movement dysfunction associated with pain. Physical therapists treat these movement dysfunctions and their associated pain and restore your body's ability to move in a normal manner.
Treatment Philosophy: Gary Handley, PT starts you on the path to healing, health and fitness and will be there every step of the way. He will work with you one on one, consult with your doctor, design a treatment plan specifically for you and assemble a team of experienced professionals to carry it out.
Orthopedic/Sports Rehabilitation: At Northwest Physical Therapy Clinic, Gary Handley, PT treats all musculoskeletal injuries and pain disorders. His goal is to get you back to your previous level of function as soon as possible. Gary utilizes state-of-the-art Techniques and equipment to provide you the highest level of quality outpatient rehabilitation possible.
A functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a set of tests, activities and observations that are quantified to determine the ability of the client/patient to perform objectively in a variety of circumstances, particularly in a work environment. Functional Capacity Evaluations are used for a variety of reasons.

I was treated at this facility for my knee surgery and weeks later my son with a sports related injury. (smiling) the therapy was wonderful but the attention we received is very memorable. Let me begin by saying that having a total knee replacement is absolutely one of the more painful rehabilitation experiences. Mr. Handley (Gary) is extremely knowledgeable concerning the physical therapies that will make a successful recovery possible and, although his job is to have you move forward with each session, he is also understanding and supportive.
