Lewis Automotive has been serving the community since 1983, beginning with friends, family, and neighbors, eventually expanding to the current Gresham location in 1995. Focusing on honest communication, evaluation, and professional vehicle repair and maintenance at fair prices has always been a priority for this family-owned business.

Steve Lewis began his training working with his father at his service station in Parkrose and later as a mechanic for a construction company. David Lewis began his training at Reynolds High School in the automotive program and graduated with an associate degree in the Honda PACT program at Mt. Hood Community College.

They we're referred to me. And they were as good as advertised. Quick, thorough, SUPER POLITE! and his son was jamming two doors down on the drums in a band called .08 clever name and they sounded pretty darn good. I hope to not need a auto repair any time soon. But when I do. I'll definitely return to them.

Impeccable integrity. Many times over the years Lewis automotive could have done unnecessary work on my vehicle but they have too much integrity for that. I'll be back in about 10 -15000 miles when my front brakes actually need to be done.

Lewis Automotive is simply awesome! Seriously, if you want an honest, experienced mechanic who will let you know what needs to be fixed and what doesn't, this the place for you. My kids are now taking their cars to Steve which makes the third generation in our family.

Most honest mechanic I know. Won't fix anything unless it needs to be done. Been going to Steve for over 15 years. I drive 30 minutes out of my way just to take our cars to him. Can't put a value on honesty and integrity in a mechanic. Highly recommend!

High quality work here done by Steve and David Lewis. I have sent many folks here over the years in addition to getting my own cars very well taken care of. Honest businessmen and excellent techs. I checked out the negative reviewer listed and found they were completely bogus-please disregard them.

Our family has been a customer of Mr. Lewis for over 25 years. He has been honest and straightforward with us at every turn. We want to get the most use and miles out of our autos and Mr. Lewis has made repairs when necessary and let us know if repairs were worth more that the vehicle. His shop repairs, not only engine problems, but small irritations like: sticky seats and seat belts, cup holders, glove boxes that do not stay closed, doors that will not lock, etc. You get the idea. We would recommend all of our friends to try out Lewis Automotive.

Trust and auto mechanic are not commonly heard in the same sentence. Not only are Steve and his son extremely trustworthy, they are nice guys. The shop is located only a few blocks off Max which although quite a ways from my home makes it conveniant. I would drive from Seattle to drop my car off at Lewis automotive for the piece of mind they give me.
