You could say that our law firm had its origins back in the 1970s, when partners Barry Weidenbaum and Jack Harari, two of the youngest kids in class, teamed up to win a 2-on-2 soccer tournament at their grammar school in New York. It was here that they first learned the importance of teamwork and started a relationship built on honesty and trust that continued throughout high school and college.
The bulk of our practice is assisting buyers and sellers of condos, co-ops, townhouses, and single-family dwellings in the five boroughs of New York City and surrounding counties. The team at Weidenbaum & Harari is well-versed in assisting with smooth bank closings by resolving and avoiding the particular challenges borrowers and lenders may encounter in New York loan and mortgage closings. We can handle all aspects of a lending transaction, from the initial greeting of the borrower, through the clearance process, to closing.

We are steps from Grand Central Station, one of the most popular travel hubs in the world. Barry was referred to us after our initial lawyer was not returning our calls and emails, sometimes for days on end - and we couldn't be happier! Barry called us within minutes of us reaching out to him and he and his team (Despina and Andrea!) never disappointed. Additionally, the team found an unexpected open UCC on a title search from three previous owners ago that their team was able to track down and close out, without any delays in the closing. I worked with the team at Weidenbaum and Harari on a more complicated than usual closing with a relatively difficult co-op in queens. Brett and Barry spearheaded this effort. This was an estate sale which adds one level of complexity, and I was an out-of-state seller, which made the sale even more difficult. I echo the other reviews of Barry and Jamie. They guided us through the process of buying a condo in a new development, from contract through close. Incredibly responsive, patient, and knowledgeable on the intricacies of NY real estate law.
What was also reassuring about working with Barry and Jamie is that they know the other players in the market. They had experience with the sponsor's attorney, knew our mortgage broker very well, and even called in a favor from a title company to help us with an arcane survey issue. All this comes in handy as they advocate for you throughout the deal
