My father was a principal with the Indiana Business Colleges. While I was still in school he had a little book on his desk entitled On Excellence. It's a lifelong value that guided me as a student, as a professor and -- for over 25 years -- has guided me as a Santa Barbara painting contractor. Each customer is unique.

We live in a small town. As a Santa Barbara painting contractor word of mouth is vital to us. John painted the exterior of our home. Some of our friends have had John paint their homes too, and are also pleased with his work. He is very thorough and his work holds up well. We put new shingles on our roof, and John replaced some rotten boards under the eaves that the roofer missed. He also stained our new fence, balancing our desire to see the grain with just enough pigment for durability.

Pickerill Painting just painted our 1939 cottage for the second time. We are so pleased with the attention to detail, the careful restoration of the original shutters and windows, and the meticulous use of several historical paint colors. And we aren't the only ones impressed! I was outside gardening and three different people walking in the neighborhood stopped to compliment the paint job and asked who had done it. I can't recommend Pickerill Painting highly enough!

We are very happy with the work John and his team did for us. They were extremely meticulous and obviously have a high degree of pride in their work. One of the most important attributes of the job was John's clear and frequent communication. This was our first time using John but we appreciated his honesty and his expertise was clearly evident.
