Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pet's health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.

We have a dog that's in pain. They are making excuses to not help us and insist we buy "special" dog food. All this after the doctor gave "us" the choice of supplements, medicine, or surgery. With the last option being euthanization, to which we said no. Everything that we talked about with the doctor and "our" choices was completely ignored. We haven't been able to get the doctor to call us back, and now the office won't contact us either. And we considered taking our dog back, although on our 1st visit someone in that office kept yelling at our dog to stop barking. Someone who has no patience

3 weeks ago I took my dog in for an x-ray as he was limping. The doctor found he has severe hip dysplasia and it's very painful.
However, he refused then, and continues to refuse to give him any pain medication. The doctor insist that we buy their expensive food that has ZERO medical benefit over our dogs current high quality diet. A diet change doesn't fix two hips completely out of their sockets.
He needs pain management right away and we've been calling multiple times and the secretary just keeps telling us she'll talk to the doctor, then we never hear back.
We ain't buying your dog food

I was in town visiting family for the holiday and my dog was in some kind of attack that resulted in an open hole on her leg. From the emergency line the doctor called me back, looked at photos of the wound and advised on care. He did this on his own time during a holiday. You are a lucky community to have such a willing and caring individual for your animals. I am very grateful!

I am very upset with how my dog was treated when we brought him in. He had symptoms of loss of appetite and frequent diarrhea so they said they would keep him overnight and monitor his bowel movements, and to call in the morning as they would know more. I called more than 4 times throughout the next day, each time getting the roundabout of why the vet couldn’t come to the phone or why they haven’t been able to treat my dog yet, saying they were really busy.
I ended up picking him up. they didn’t treat his symptoms, give us any antibiotics, or wash his bum off— he was covered in feces when

We ended up taking our dog to Blackfoot animal health clinic because this Dr told me on a Sunday that he had things he needed to do instead of help my dog. He also was going to charge me 255 for an emergency office visit (which was fine, I understand that part, but what I don't understand is how he wanted 1000 dollar deposit on top of the 255 PLUS… whatever else he needed to do for her. He acted annoyed that my dog got VERY sick on a weekend, he cut me off when I was talking multiple times and was flat out rude. I get having things to do, but animals get sick on weekends too,, what are we

We have been going to Dr Heins for years. I remember as a kid always taking our pets there. Last week I couldn’t get my sons horse up, I called and had an appointment to drop him off but couldn’t even get him to walk or stay on his feet. Dr heins had a full day. I called EVERY vet in our area in desperate need for someone, anyone, to come help me!… Nobody had time or they didn’t make house calls.. I called Heins back to see if I could get a later time till a family member could come help me. When I told the lady who answered the phone it was me again and nobody could help

DR Heins, Is extremely capable, very fair, and compassionate as well. He is willing to work through issues, and is thorough in his research of difficult cases. I take my animals there regularly. He has modern equipment including a surgical laser, digital x-ray, and a therapy laser. That gives me options that some clinics do not provide.

Having a sick critter is the worst. I'm a single mom and a full time student, and when a stray we took in got sick, I went searching for help. I couldn't afford a visit, but was given some great pointers and medication suggestions. Our little kitten is on his way to recovery, and he wouldn't have been without the help of Rupert Animal Clinic. Marie dealt with me more than once and offered tips I never would have thought of. As soon as I can, I can't wait to get him in for an exam. Having had an amazing vet before we moved to the area, I am so grateful to have found another

Don't take a good vet for granted, that's what I say. I currently live in another state and have taken my 10 year old dog to numerous vets over the years (California, Colorado, Vegas, and then some). Never have I ever received the attention and care I've gotten w/Dr. Hines.
Within the past 3 months alone, my dog went to 3 different vets for a horrible and painful skin problem that broke out all over her body.
The first vet: I spent more time ponying up the $175 for the visit than the Dr. spent actually looking at my dog. He performed a woods lamp exam for ringworm. Even without
