Services
Acupuncture utilizes sterile solid, fine needles to stimulate specific points along the meridian system of the body. Stimulating the acupuncture points facilitates the body's healing process allowing it to come back into balance. In Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture regulates and harmonizes the flow blood to the tissues and organs.
An acupuncture appointment is similar any other form of medical treatment. Upon the patient's first visit, the practitioner will record basic biographical and historical health information about the patient, and will then proceed with the diagnostic framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine asking questions about your condition.
We have helped many women achieve healthy pregnancy while successfully overcoming obstacles such as recurrent miscarriage, recurrent pregnancy loss, failed in-vitro fertilizations (failed IVFs), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase mutations (MTHFR), Factor V Leiden, fibroids, cysts, endometriosis, hormone imbalance, automimmune infertility, anovulation, advanced maternal age, low AMH, poor egg quality, and low ovarian reserve.
During your new patient consultation we can provide more information on optimal timing of acupuncture for specialized treatments. Metamorphosis offers comprehensive care to enhance male and female fertility and support long-term fertility goals. Holistic treatment for at least three months is recommended prior to an IVF cycle to optimize your system and prepare your body for pregnancy.
I went in with several health concerns and after the first visit, my low back pain, stagnant blood (which had prevented me for a normal menstrual cycle) had been resolved. I have been working with Kathleen for over 10 years. I primarily see her for acupuncture but have had Reiki work as well. Not transparent in pricing: $100 for 30min consultation, $100 per session or $90 for 20+ treatments. Had no idea that I would be charged $100 for a scheduled 30min consultation - it’s not listed anywhere on the website, was not stated when booked, and not mentioned until asking for my credit card at the end! After 30min into the consultation, I decided I would not get the treatment that day; past this point Kathleen continued the consultation for an extra hour, most of which I felt was trying to persuade me of the value of the treatment and her abilities before *finally* telling me the treatment

Kathleen is very thorough. A few years back she helped me with a torn ligament in my hip. Modern Drs told me I would never be able to run again. After the help of Kathleen I have run several half Marathons since. I am now back with an arm injury and I truly believe she is helping me recover at a faster pace.

I've seen Kathleen on and off for the past 6 months. On and off only because I don't make enough time for me. Two nights before a trip across the world to Qatar a very heavy object fell on the top of my foot. It swelled horribly and was bruised. I couldn't bear weight on it. After confirming at urgent care nothing was broken I called Kathleen. She squeezed me in at the end of her day staying late to see me. When I got off the table, I could not only bear weight but walk normally! Over the evening the swelling went down. I write this review fro the airport as I wait for my flight. Needless to say

I've only been going to see Kathleen for a month or so, but she is amazing. I had never done acupuncture before and I came in with an open mind to see what it was like and see if I wanted to continue while I explored fertility treatments, and I was a convert after one session.
I've never done a Yelp review before, but honestly, she's just that great and if you think you want to give acupuncture a try, you really can't go wrong with her.

I see Kathleen for acupuncture and have gotten relief in disc herniations, headaches, and increased overall health by learning about what affects my body.
