Services
My name is Santana Bhattacharyya and I founded Shining Star Montessori Learning Center, a preschool and afterschool in 2015 in beautiful San Ramon. Teaching has been always my passion and I have years of experience working with children. I was a preschool teacher for seven years at Montessori Children's Center and Little Flowers Montessori in Fremont, CA.
Our program includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Science and Cultural Studies, and Music & Movement. Practical life- The aims of practical life exercises are to help children develop concentration, coordination, independence and a sense of order. Spooning, pouring, folding, cutting exercises will help children in concentration and coordination.
There is a great sense of community within the Montessori classroom, where children of differing ages work together in an atmosphere of cooperation rather than competitiveness. There is respect for the environment and for the individuals within it, which comes through experience of freedom within the community.
