Chef and owner, Shaun Chastain, was born and raised in Central, South Carolina, and is a Daniel High School graduate. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina where he graduated with a Culinary Arts Degree.

Since moving from their Clemson location, their sushi serving & pricing is absolutely ridiculous for what you receive. These rolls are tiny & priced double compared to what they are worth. So disappointing. While dining in, I ordered a french onion soup & it came out lukewarm..at best. How does that happen? We keep giving this location chance after chance. We want to support local, but it is difficult to support a restaurant with so many inconsistencies.

We have loved our past experiences at Blue Heron and have always looked forward to the next night out there. We were there on Thursday this week and the service was fair and the food was, less than. The server was doing the best she could with what she had to work with. Our spinach dip appetizer was oily and separating, the dinner bread was an epic fail and should have never made it out of the kitchen. My husbands fish, the snapper “special” was very over cooked. I hope to get back when the food and service are both back to what it once was.

This is the second time we have trusted Blue Heron to a friends Birthday ,the first time he never got his food and this time they ran out of steak !! The food was not great but the waitress tried her best. Probably last time… This is the first time I have ever reviewed a restaurant but I feel the owners and management need to know

If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would. After waiting an hour for our food my tuna came out well done instead of rare like it was ordered. The manager pointed out two pieces that were medium rare at best and offered at 50% discount and would not take care of the meal like he should have. Please take your business elsewhere.

Blue heron you should be ashamed for not providing a changing table in either one of the ladies rooms! I had to change my baby in a booth while customers are their meal! It’s ridiculous and you have room in the… bathrooms for one. Also I don’t think it was all our servers fault but the food took forever and we didn’t get our sushi (that was suppose to be an appetizer) til right before we left and then was still expected to pay for it!

Fantastic food. My elderly father eats every bite of his 2inch thick pork chop-except the taste he will share w my mom. The steak entree w mushroom puff pastry is heavenly. Kellie is wonderful & always friendly & welcoming. Great bar area w tv’s but on tap beer selection isn’t stellar but they are changing it this fall. Please bring Guinness back! Always a great treat when I come to see my parents.

My absolute favorite restaurant! It's on the pricey side, so we do not go often. We have been several times though. The service is always great, food is never short of amazing! I always try different entrees, but my favorite is probably the one with wild mushrooms and puff pastry. It's delicious. I love the homemade butters as well. Definitely try this place!

Great atmosphere food was good. I did have a tasty burger. I asked for medium done however it came cooked well well done. Burger still was good. Manager seen me asked me about it and I told him. He made it right and by giving me half off even though I said I would pay for it since I was eating it...
