I am Dr Gregory Rabold and close to 27 years ago while living in Kathmandu, Nepal I founded the HMF in order to provide free medical care to the Monastic and local lay communities in the Kathmandu valley. Our seven medical clinics as well as our dental services provide much needed care to a significant portion of the Nepali population who cannot afford to pay for doctor's visits or medication.
In addition, Our Public Health Projects play a very important role in prevention of disease and overall health. I invite you to scroll through our website if you are interested in learning more about our services and what we have accomplished over the last 27 years. In one of our videos our country director Chhiring Lama will share a day in the life of the HMF.

Services
We do not have to spend funds to pay for rent, electricity and water thus saving precious funds for medications and medical supplies. 2. We are able to see monks and nuns early in their illness before they become too sick or spread their illness to others, creating difficult to manage epidemics. 3. Generally, the clinics are easily accessible to the local lay community and help to generate good will between the monasteries and local population.
The Himalayan Medical Foundation has been providing ongoing free medical and dental care to the monastic and lay communities of the Kathmandu Valley for close to 27 years. Even though Nepal has experienced an almost continuous series of challenges and catastrophes, the HMF's operation and services have been uninterrupted, supporting the Nepali people with reliability and constancy that is otherwise sorely lacking in their lives.
Funding for the HMF's activities comes almost entirely from individual donors. Any amount you give, from $10 to $500, translates into the medicine, salaries and other supplies that make up our operations. Without your help none of this much needed work would be possible. We encourage you to meet with your financial advisors and or Estate Lawyer when considering a planned gift.
