Services
Semlow Chiropractic Center is a second generation chiropractic office that has been providing chiropractic care to West Michigan residents since 1972. Our office focuses on family chiropractic care, and sees patients from ages birth to 100+ years. The wonderful thing about chiropractic care is that no person is too young or too old to benefit from having their nervous system improved.
During your first visit our office will collect necessary health information in order to assess your current health condition. The visit will also include a consultation with one of our Doctors of Chiropractic, exam and x-rays will be taken if needed. In most circumstances your initial chiropractic adjustment will also be given on your first visit.
The practice of Chiropractic care focuses on locating and removing spinal misalignments that can be causing improper function of the body's nervous system, thus creating symptomatic problems including headaches, back pain and sciatica. The means by which our Doctors of Chiropractic choose to remove spinal subluxations depends upon the needs of each patient.
Most musculoskeletal conditions and pain syndromes respond favorably to chiropractic care. The conditions listed here are essentially the most frequently seen at our office. What is a subluxation? Subluxation refers to a spinal bone (vertebra) that isn't in its right position or not moving in its normal range of motion. Misaligned vertebra are irritating nerves and blood vessels, which in turn affects the way your body communicates with your spine. Subluxations are the reason for pains and dysfunctions in muscles and organs.

Jen is awesome... I was nervous about going to the chiropractor for the first time and she listened to my concerns, communicated effectively in non medical terms and walked me through each step. Since then I highly recommend Jen... they try to work with you and your schedule getting you in on breaks or lunches... my fastest appointment one day was only 7 mins from the time I left the to the time I got back.... I do work very close so the drive time is very short.

I hurt my back over a week ago, been to urgent care and all they could do was prescription pain meds. I was in extreme pain. Normal every day things like getting in and out of bed, my car, and walking were almost unbearable. A friend recommended this place and I am glad I came in. One quick adjustment and I had immediate relief! It was the same relief like when you poke a hole in a black fingernail. I went from a 9 pain level to a 3 in one adjustment. Absolutely recommend this place for any back pain.

I have been seeing Dr. Jen for over a year for a chronic, incurable condition. Prior to seeing her, I took meds daily for my condition. Now, I don't take them nearly as often. I'm moving in ways that use to be painful, but are not anymore. I didn't think much about the practice of chiropractic care until being treated by her. An added bonus is that her personality is so positive and encouraging, too.
