Progressive Painting was established in Northern Virginia in the year 2000 by Thomas Privette and his wife Lindsay. They made the decision from the start that providing superior customer service and delivering the highest quality of workmanship was "key" to their small company's establishment and success.
Eight years later, they still attribute these two basic principles to why the large majority of their business comes from referrals and repeat customers. There is no statement that rings more true when it comes to a quality paint job than "Preparation is the key." There is much more involved in a quality paint job other than simply applying paint to surfaces.
Rotten wood replacement to include window seals, doorframes, corner boards, siding and soffits. All companies do things differently; however there are some methods we strongly object to, particularly those that compromise and/or prevent homeowners from receiving a quality paint job. For example, we do not perform a "one ladder set up" operation.
Do you have estimate appointments available on weekends or evenings? We typically do not have weekend or evening appointments available. Estimate appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday during business hours (9:00am-5:00pm). We recognize that week day appointments may be challenging for some homeowners.
We called Progressive Painting last fall for an estimate. Because we waited until the fall to get the estimate, our paint job had to begin in the spring. We were first on the books when the weather warmed up. Thomas and his team arrived on the day and time as promised. At the end of each day, Thomas would email us with the progress made and to see if there were any questions.

Thomas did a terrific job painting the interior of our house that's under renovation. The amount of dedication and hard work he puts in really shows. Super easy to work with, kind and patient, and overall a fantastic business. Lindsay is a sweet lady with a heart of gold who helped organize the whole process. I highly recommend this business.

We hired Progressive Painting to paint the exterior of our home, based on a recommendation from a friend who had used them and loved them.
Our experience was terrific. Thomas, the owner, does all of the work himself with one employee (Steve). They were everything you would want in a contractor - prompt, friendly, easy to work with, and very professional.
The workmanship was excellent. Our house required a lot of carpentry work to remove rotting wood and replace it with PVC boards. We also had our back deck stained and the rear screened in porch redone. In all of those areas, Thomas did outstanding
