Dr. Nikta Marvdashti has been a family and cosmetic dentist for over 25 years. She obtained her DDS degree from the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences Dental School in 1991. After practicing dentistry for several years overseas, she migrated to the United States where she completed a residency program, Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (2007-2008).
If it's your first time in our practice after filling out the paper work, the dentist will meet you and talk to you. It is important to communicate to your dentist about any concern you have. We usually start with taking some X-Rays as needed. After reading the X-Rays it's time for the clinical exam which include an extra oral and Intra oral exam, a soft and hard tissue exam and a cancer screening.
The treatment, also called scaling and root planing, removes plaque and hard build up (Calculus) and bacteria below the gums to prevent bone loss that can loosen teeth and complicate medical conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. The American Academy of Periodontology recommends that dentists offer deep cleanings when X-rays show bone loss and a full-mouth exam reveals gum pockets greater than 4 millimeters deep.
When your tooth has extensive decay or a deep fracture, the tooth may have to be removed. What is very important is the treatment afterward. Make sure to eat soft foods, not spicy, hot or crunchy! Don't rinse or spit during the first 24 hour and do not smoke for 3 days. Keeping the mouth clean and gently rinsing with salt water after the first 24 hours will be helpful.
Your dentist will recommend a filling for you when you have a cavity (caries) or fracture. A cavity is when a tiny hole forms in your tooth because of a layer of tiny bacteria on your teeth, called plaque. If you don't brush your teeth regularly or thoroughly, the bacteria secrete acid that slowly breaks down your tooth.

This is my first time at this place as I moved to the area recently, I was just impressed about the whole experience … first I have to admit that I’m a very anxious person almost like a phobia when it comes to dentist visits , but in here they treat you as a personne, they care about every single detail you mention to them, they were very welcoming and warm, I was seen by Dr Nikita and Habiba they both treated me very well , I felt like Habiba was there just to comfort me and help me process my stress I mean it felt like I was taken care of… the Dr was very friendly and Humble she will stop

I like the office and staff. Habibeh does a great job making sure patients are comfortable and doing the cleanings, and Dr. Nikta explains what is going on with my teeth, including providing treatment options without pushing services that may not be needed yet. I have found other local dental offices tend to "sell" more than "service" their patients.
Overall, I like coming here because of the good conversation, professional staff, and great smile I have when I'm finished.

My daughters and I had a great experience with Stone Springs Dentistry. Marvdashti is an amazing dentist who knows the needs of her patients. She is very kind, calm, and collected and answers all you questions patiently. All the staff were very helpful and professional.
