El Catrin

Ordered 2 tacos for 3.50 each, on the menu it says side of beans. What you get are $3.50 street tacos and a garnish side of beans. Asked for refried, checked and was served pinto beans. When I spoke up and said I ordered refried beans, the manager said they only have pinto beans and then refried beans magically appeared. Also, advised "management" that a side of something which it says on the menu does not mean a cup that will hold 3 to 4 beans. A side is a side. Garnishment is not considered a side. So then the "management" told me that the menu doesn't say what size, so I told him large?????

The menu is different than any other Mexican restaurant I'd ever seen but Holy smokes, freaking delicious! Fresh and wonderful! Wish we had something like this in Salem.

Yesterday's lunch did not disappoint, as El Catrin once again knocked it out of the park. Fish tacos were perfection. And the steak fajitas were probably the best seasoned steak strips we've ever tasted.
As usual, the service was amazing. We even overheard a conversation from the next table where the customer asked "Do you have...?" And the reply was, "We don't. But we can make it for you."
It was then that we declared, "So, this is our new favorite spot, right?" Since it was our 3rd or 4th visit... yeah, definitely the new fave.
Exceptional is an understatement.

Owner was very friendly and professional. Food was really good and ambience was fancy. Everything was pretty fancy and clean with average burrito prices. I will definitely go back. Lovely experience. Thank you!

I have been really enjoying my meals at El Catrin. The owner is a really very friendly guy...and great service.
The meals are different than the standard type of Mexican food - I enjoy this.
The margaritas are made from scratch rather than some horrible mix as in another Warrenton Mexican restaurant

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and very tasty! This dish is called the almond chicken and oh my gosh yummy!

Today I might have eaten the best taco ever. Seriously, call your mom good, her sister too. Loved all 3 of hot sauces. That's rare. One taco was almost enough. Will definitely be going back very soon. All the staff said good-bye and thank you. Very impressed with food and service..

Small selection for vegetarians. We found the Chile Relleno served with steamed fresh vegetables, potato pancake, baby greens, and green rice intriguing, not to mention, delicious! Everything was fresh with a unique flavors including the nachos chips with three different dips. Great service.

The food tastes good, the presentation was fantastic, the staff are super friendly, the restaurant is nice and clean with calm music. Absolutely would reccomend to anyone nearby on passing through.

Interesting place. The tacos were great. Had the Birria, fish and Al Pastor. All 3 were fantastic. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Salsa variety and taste is great too.
