In 1968 approximately 3,500 people called Lake Havasu City home. Wing Wachtel opened a law office to service the legal needs of the community. Subsequently, he was joined by Don Biehn in 1970, Denis Malm in 1972, J.B. Wyss in 1976 and Steve Biehn in 1980. The law offices of Wachtel Biehn & Malm have changed dramatically throughout the past three decades, but the firm still handles client's cases the same way: with respect and dignity.
Wachtel Biehn & Malm (WBM/the Firm) has two attorneys: Jay Bidwell (managing partner) and Steve Biehn (partner). The Firm handles a variety of legal problems ranging from: Personal Injury; Administrative; Wills, Trusts, Estates; DUI and criminal offenses; Landlord/Tenant Law; and multi-million dollar commercial transactions.
Personal Injury is a legal term used to describe any injury (physical or emotional) you received as a result of the carelessness of another person. The law in Arizona requires people to act reasonable and take reasonable precautions to prevent injury to another person. If they do not act in a reasonable manner, their actions or lack of actions are classified as negligence.
Wachtel Biehn and Malm has been providing Estate Planning services for over 30 years. This is an essential aspect of everyone's life; however, not many individuals realize the importance of having a WILL, TRUST or POWER OF ATTORNEY. The front office girls were unexpectedly rude and unprofessional-- considering they are first point of contact when entering the office I was a bit taken back.
I'd had many meetings with Mr Biehn working on my parents trust and when the process was finally at the end I couldn't not of been happier. My parents and myself didn't know the nut and bolts of a trust or the process to adjust the current one in place- (that's why went to see an attorney for his expertise) and apparently by asking a question or two or three infuriated Mr Biehn. I hired Mr Bidwell to do some contract law for me. Paid my 25 thousand, gave Mr Bidwell written instuctions on what had to be done right away. He did nothing on my case, I had to fire him after 6 months because not one thing was done in my case. His firm caused me thousands of dollars in loses for me. Do not hire this firm. I've heard he might be in legal troubles himself with a non profit organization.

We have worked with two attorneys at Wachtel, Biehn and Malm on different issues at different times, Steven Biehn and Jay Bidwell.
They were both incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, professional and spoke to us in language we understood. We never would have come up with the solutions that they did on our own. Because the one issue was urgent, Jay dropped what he was working on to meet with us late on a Friday afternoon.
