By their own peers in the national elder care community. Solkoff Legal, P.A. is a unique elder law firm solely dedicated to helping the elderly, the disabled, their caregivers and their families. As pioneers in the field of Elder Law, we commit ourselves to educating our clients and peers on successful aging.
Services
Solkoff Legal, P.A. was founded by Scott M. Solkoff, Esq., a Board Certified Florida Elder Law Attorney, as a specialized firm that serves the elderly, the disabled, their caregivers and their families. Our offices are located in Delray Beach, Florida in the heart of Palm Beach County, the home of many of Florida's seniors.
We went to Solkoff Legal for advice on elder law. They were great. We have worked with Scott, Heather and the awesome team at Solkoff Legal for many years and have been pleased with their services. We often need a resource who is knowledgeable in elder law and special needs planning in the Delray area and we are confident when recommending this dynamic team.
Scott M. Solkoff, Esq., founding partner of Solkoff Legal, P.A. and an author of a leading book on Elder Law, both fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and Bernard A. Krooks, Esq., a founding partner of Littman Krooks LLP and past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the Special Needs Alliance recognized clients' desires to develop relationships with reputable firms that can address their needs or the needs of their loved ones in Florida and New York.
Over fifteen years ago, we created a successful and comprehensive method of protecting our clients' assets against the costs of long-term care. With our planning, our clients legally and ethically obtain. Upon a person's death, family members or others interested in the estate usually locate the will, if there is one, and contact an attorney to represent the estate.
There are several areas, fields, and specialties of legal practice. Elder Law is a particular specialty focused on planning for the care and protection of the elderly. It is a branching term used to cover several subsets of legal practice: the creation of a will, estate planning, the legal management of benefits & annuities (as well as their appropriate protections), and more.

Brandon and Kate are amazing and the whole staff there are incredible! They are like a well organized machine, they helped my sick mother get on Medicaid in less than a month! I continue to recommend this group to everyone who needs to get their loved one(s) on Medicaid and make sure they aren't bankrupt at the end of it. Thank you Brandon and Kate you are the best!

I am a NY attorney for 30+ years and needed paperwork done for my 82 year old mom (power of atty., amended deed, living will...) and found this firm. Top notch service, reasonable fees and all with a smile. They really care ❤ Kudos to Mr. Solkoff and his knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend...

My family retained the Solkoff firm to obtain Medicaid coverage for our 100 year old Dad. I was very impressed with attorney Scott Solkoff, who took time to explain the process and what would be done by his firm to request Medicaid. His assistant, Kate, was incredible. She was efficient and empathetic. The bottom line is that within a short period of time, my Dad was entitled to Medicaid benefits. I would strongly recommend the Solkoff firm.

Having to take care of my mothers estate and my own wasn’t exactly something I was excited about. Brandon and Heather at Solkoff were beyond professional, empathetic, and understanding. The whole process seemed overwhelming and confusing to me before I started with them and they walked me through things step by step in an easy to understand and, more importantly, compassionate way. They were incredibly accommodating with their time and the costs were more than reasonable and fair. I highly recommend them if you have estate needs and/or questions. They are truly good people.

From my first visit with the Solkoff Legal team, my family and I had an exceptionally positive experience. My initial consultation was with Scott Solkoff, who took the time to explain all of our options regarding estate planning and the Medicaid approval process.
Scott introduced me to attorney Brandon Arkin, who, along with benefits coordinator Kate Macaluso, worked with us from start to finish. Brandon and Kate were helpful, attentive, and quick to respond to questions and offer support throughout the process. Beyond their professionalism, Brandon and Kate treated us with kindness, empathy,

I was referred to Scott Solkoff's office by a friend and had an exceptional experience working with his very, very capable professional staff. We were in a very difficult situation with my Mom who needed full time skilled nursing care and Kate, Brandon, and the rest of this amazing team helped us keep my Mom in the facility where she received the best care. Kate is incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and responsive and I am thrilled with the outcome. Brandon helped me understand the legal landscape and was also very responsive. I highly recommend this firm!

Our families have used the services of the Solkoff Legal firm for decades and so when COVID-19 came around we thought it would be a good time to make sure that everything we wanted was spelled out in very certain terms based upon information obtained by bringing our lives up to date and putting it in order. That is not an easy job, but Madeleine, Brandon, and Scott, our team, made it as easy as possible.

We gave them the information that they asked for and they developed a series of proposals and options and we asked questions and more questions, (law often sounds like a foreign language), which

When we moved to the Palm Beach area , we were committed to settling into our home in an active retirement community. We also felt the need to set up our finances and have plans in place for our adult children. Because we had some special needs, we had a short list of elder attourneys recommended by the FAU Memory and Wellness center. After carefully reviewing all of them, we had an initial consultation with Mr. Solkoff. He listened to what we wanted and needed . While we had done some future financial planning years ago, we had some new requests including putting our home in a trust. We were very

Is there such a thing as 0 stars? Totally unprepared for our meeting. (A woman attorney - not Scott). Could not find file, paperwork, etc. Three Stooges! Still charged us $ for the meeting. Told us it would be $18,000 to settle estate. We went to another attorney who did a great job in no time at all and charged us $800. This says it all.

When it comes to elder law, trust and estate planning, and medicaid asset protection, there is no name that is better known throughout Florida than SOLKOFF. I have used Solkoff Legal for a long time, as has members of my family and clients whom I have referred. Attorney Scott Solkoff and his staff are true experts in this field, are consummate professionals, and have the client's best interests at heart. In fact, I believe Solkoff has received many awards not only for his humanitarian work in his community, but from his peers for his professional excellence. I would recommend Solkoff to

Our family has been working through this firm for almost one year. Our Medicaid benefits are still in limbo and we are having difficulty getting answers and return calls from the law firm. Unfortunately we paid them in advance for their services. The jury is out on our rating of this firm, we will update this post when and if we get our benefits resolved through them but to date we are not at all pleased with the firm.
