Anderson Funeral Homes
Anderson Funeral Homes is the only Veteran owned Funeral Home in the area. While serving our country during Desert Storm in the U.S. Army I learned the meaning of loyalty and dedication. It is this loyalty and dedication that drives me daily to provide the best service possible to our families. It is this service that is needed in creating a meaningful ceremony to honor the life and memory of a loved one.

A ceremony can be anything you wish it to be: simple or elaborate, traditional or unique.
Services
Pursel-Davis Funeral Home has roots that go back to 1881 when A.E. Wilbur, H.P. Densel and Charles Glick opened a furniture and undertaking business at 13-17 S. Center Street. John Pursel joined the undertaking Company in 1893, when Charles Glick sold out. At that time, furniture stores provided funeral management with horse-drawn hearses and caskets made by local cabinet makers.
Our funeral home is a family owned and operated business with nearly 125 years of experience. We take pride in serving the communities of Marshalltown, Conrad, and Gladbrook. Outstanding service has always been, and always will be our number one priority. We give each of our families the level of attention and care they deserve.
Help show your support to the family during this difficult time by providing them a gift of sympathy flowers, gift baskets, and more. It's secure and easy, plus we'll ship your gift directly to the services. Sunday deliveries are not available for flowers. We will try and accommodate early morning deliveries but need a 48 hours notice on placing orders for flowers.
We believe in honoring your loved one through a celebration that is personal and provides a healing experience to family and friends. Celebrations of life can be held for burial or cremation to help celebrate a life well lived. From traditional ceremonies to unique celebrations, we pride ourselves on our service helping you plan the perfect event.
Today there are more options than ever on how to celebrate a life lived. Choosing burial as your final disposition allows you to have a final resting place with options to have a personal celebration. We believe that no two people are alike and no two services should be alike either. Through traditional or contemporary services, many are turning to unique, personalized ways of honoring a life lived and aiding the grieving process.

Was comforting to have Jody and Amy's genuine compassion and empathy throughout this process. They provided amazing " one stop"services and were very responsive and communicative.

Used "Heart and Soul" as a funeral song for a 94-year-old! Are you kidding me????

Like most Funeral Homes, these guys are way behind the times and do not use today's technologies to easily work with families. For example, as as graphic designer myself, I had already prepared a PowerPoint slide presentation for my Uncle's funeral. It had a specific order, special hymn music and timing. When I asked the Jody, the owner of the Funeral Home about it, their response was that they can't use PowerPoint. Are you kidding me? Every PC and MAC in America can run PowerPoint!!! Instead

Thank you again for doing such a great job with my grandparents funeral arrangements. I pay more attention to the details of a funeral ever since my grandparents have passed. I have noticed several differences that made me realize and appreciate what a great job you and your staff do. Your service is very professional and sincere. You definitely go the extra mile for your families!! Thank you!!
