Crossroads Dentistry
Crossroads Dentistry is conveniently located in the heart of the Crossroads Art District at 19th and Wyandotte Street. Wyandotte is two blocks west of Main and two blocks east of Broadway, just a couple of blocks from the crossroads of I-70 and I-35 in the newly renovated Filmrow Arts Building - making it truly just minutes away from almost anywhere in the greater metropolitan area either side of state line.

If you haven't spent much time in the Crossroads, schedule some extra time because it is a unique destination. In addition to fine dining, boutiques, and galleries, the area has a rich history of national film distribution. More recently, Crossroads has been the heart of Kansas City's artistic renaissance.
Services
Dr. Fleming is supported by a team of licensed dental hygienist and experienced dental assistants. Skilled laboratory technicians at local high quality dental labs fabricate full and partial dentures, and fixed bridges and specialty cosmetics. We view each patient as special; each deserves our best effort.
Regular dental checkups and having your teeth cleaned are important. Routine dental visits make it possible for us to treat problems in the early stages. During your visit, we check for tooth decay, gum disease, worn fillings and other changes in your teeth and gums. If you are an existing patient, please let us know if your medical records need updating.
Abdul has been in the dental field since 1998. He graduated in 2005 with a B.D.S Degree from Baghdad, Iraq. In 2009 he received his National Board Certification in Dental Assisting and in Expanded Functions. He has been at Crossroads Dentistry since 2008, and has been our Office Manager since 2013.
We are a mercury-free practice. However, many people still have silver/mercury fillings in their mouths from years past. These fillings are not particularly pleasing to the eye, and we know that by unavoidable design, silver/mercury fillings ultimately result in a weaker tooth structure. Tooth Colored Restorations create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable) but also add strength to weakened teeth.
Fitting a crown requires one visit in most cases. Initially, we will remove decay, shape the tooth, and are able to create a new permanent tooth in the office the same day. Finally, we will cement the crown into place and you have a new beautiful looking tooth. Crown are very reliable solution for major dental problems caused through accidents, diseases or wear and tear.

I called to reschedule due to work. I was charged for a missed appt staying I was a no call/ no show. One of the dentists even used the paper towel they clip around patients necks as a place to dry off his fingers and place tools as it was still resting on my chest.

Five star first visit with
Crossroads Dentistry!
From Lulu at the front desk to the Dr.’s Assistant, Kim, to the dentist,
Dr.Daniel Fleming— everyone was highly professional with a genuine warmth.
Dr. Dan’s exam was the most meticulous I’ve ever received.
Swank, artsy atmosphere with a pragmatic, down to earth vibe...

Crossroads Dentistry continues to charge us for missed appointments even after we have moved. I’ve emailed them twice to tell them to remove us as patients, but they’ve charged us over $300 for appointments that we did not make. When we saw them as our dentist, they were great, but their bookkeeping could use some serious accountability and ethics overhaul.

Save your time and money and do not go here. Each time I came in, I waited 30 minutes to over an hour before being worked on. Even at my cleaning, I was there for three hours. Poor dental work was done, causing me to have to get it fixed at another dentist.

I had work done here a few times. I have had issues with my teeth ever since. They messed up one of my fillings and I’m currently having to pay more money to have it fixed by a different doctor. This company continuously charges you for more than you discussed. They have sent me bills for things I’ve already paid. They do not keep good billing records. Save your time and money and don’t go here.

Great place to have your teeth worked on. Really can't make the connection on these single star reviews. These guys were excellent with the dental procedure and because I didn't have dental insurance, they set me up on a payment plan that allows me to to pay them in installments. It took a bit of money up front but the cost was 100% manageable. Thanks doc I'll see you the end of this month for my final crown.

As somebody who's dental hygiene responsibility checked out years ago, I was both extremely anxious and mortified about my delayed return to 'adult responsibility'. CRUD was a great experience to get back into the routine. They were both comforting and aware of my anxieties but also had a subtle tone of concern (and realism) that if I didn't change my ways, I'd be in trouble. It was the perfect cocktail of wake up juice I needed. After a thorough cleaning and exam I went back the next day for some minor filling work. The location was convenient for me and space was

My husband, daughter and I all see Dan Fleming for our dental care. The practice is professional, caring, and very helpful with insurance filings. I started with the practice when I needed a root canal and my former dentist couldn't fit me into his schedule. Crossroads Dentistry got me in right away and got me taken care of. Highly recommended.

Their hours aren't great and when you have to reschedule due to their narrow time windows (not open weekends and they close at noon on fridays) they charge you $120. Be careful working with these guys.

I have always had a huge fear of going to the dentist, which has caused a lot of my teeth issues to get worse and worse. When I finally came in to try and salvage my teeth I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is the building and artwork beautiful here but the entire staff is absolutely amazing. Dr. Flemming does an amazing job and has been very patient and always takes his time.

Took me calling 3 times over a period of 6 months to get a quote for dental work. Went to get a tooth built up and they kept me waiting for 45 mins then the dentist numbed me and kept me waiting another 45 mins. The appointment took 3 hours and they were unable to complete the work they had previously promised. The dentist ended up referring me to an oral surgeon which was going to cost me additional money I didn’t need to pay. Ended up going to my old dentist to get the work done because they immediately gave me a quote and ran a predetermination and were able to complete everything in an hour

I went to this dentist over 4 years ago. During my time as a patient, I was told I needed multiple fillings at every visit (I had never had single filling before coming here). Additionally, I moved 2 months after my last appointment. I never received a bill for an outstanding balanced owed. 4 years later my credit drops over 100 points. I look into it and Crossroads Dentistry sent me to collections for an outstanding bill that I never received from 4 years prior. Not only has my credit score been effected, but I owe 1.5 times my original bill due to fees incurred because I was never provided a

I've been going to Crossroads Dentistry for 13 years without any complaints. They work with your schedule and communicate very well. Currently, I am using Invisalign to straighten my teeth and they have done everything they can to make it smooth and convenient. The lofted open atmosphere maybe isn't for everyone, but its more laid back and comfortable than your typical office. Dr. Flemming is professional but personable and his staff is wonderful.

I just recommended Crossroads Dentistry to a friend who is dissatisfied with her current dental group. The dental hygienist, Vienna, is one of the best I've ever encountered. This group is sensitive to my dental needs as well as my financial limitations. They are always happy to check to see what's covered by insurance and what's not and then to give me estimates of the cost will be. There is always a smile that goes along with the information. I should also say that I used to have something of a dental phobia but after 5 years with them I just go in twice a year without dread. This

My first visit went well. The hygienist was concerned about my comfort in addition to being very thorough. Dr. Fleming was congenial and informative. They took actual pictures to show me the damage that needed to be repaired. The front office was exceptionally kind and helpful in finding appointments that work for my schedule. Being located close to my office is also a plus. I would highly recommend this dental office.

They rescheduled my appointment from five to four then made me wait thirty minutes. This was upsetting but overall it was a good experience. The dental hygienist was amazing! She makes up for the bad experience.

Be warned though, they will call you on repeat to schedule your appointments (which is good for me, because I dread going in and put it off) but it could be a little annoying.

Got a bill from them after switching two years prior. They messed up and sent my bill to my wife's insurance and now want me to pay for it! I call the office trying to get it cleared up and no one calls me back. Abdul, feel free to call me and get this worked out.

I loved the atmosphere of the office and the hygienist, but Dr. Fleming could have done a better job communicating my exam results to me. He mumbled and did not clearly communicate technical information. Office staff had trouble finding my records which had been sent previously (2 months prior to the appointment), and the office failed to follow up with my previous dentist in that amount of time, resulting in a game of phone-tag with my previous dentist during the appointment. Overall it was a good experience and I will be returning. Office staff was great about contacting my insurance company

I hate having dental work done. It causes me huge anxiety. The only reason I have consistent dental care at all is because I found this place. The staff here are super personable, flexible, and the total environment is really accepting. They have worked with me the last two years to recover from not having dental care basically my entire life. My dental health has never been better thanks to their hard work and patience. Vienna, Abdul, Dr. Dan, Connie, and Claudia are the reasons I show up despite my anxiety and now try to take better care of myself once I leave.

What a great find! Not only does this dentist office double as an art gallery (they also open it up during First Fridays as such) but the quality of service and staff are great! Claudia was my hygienist and I don't plan on seeing anyone else again but her! I could tell she really enjoys and takes pride in what she does, and she wasn't afraid to tell me what I was probably doing wrong in regards to my cleaning regimen, which I like. She was also thorough and full of useful information, which was much needed from someone like me who was LONG overdue for a cleaning/getting some cavities

Best dental services possible. I have a lot of dental anxiety thanks to previous services elsewhere. I am always utterly impressed by the professional and support staff at Crossroads. Today was the best yet, even though I had to go through a scaling and planing as well as a crown- which are typically perceived as very uncomfortable at the very least. Claudia, my hygienist was hands-down amazing. She took great care of me, I experienced virtually no discomfort, and her hygiene reminders were upbeat and helpful. She actually gave some recommendations I hadn't heard before. My teeth may well

Well if ya gotta bite the bullet do it here. My unhealthy fear of dentists goes all the way back to my childhood. I only recently after more than a decade tried to face my fear head on. Pain will do that, so faced with the growing tooth ache to the chair I went.

Nervously I awaited the needle that would go straight to the nerve. That was the hardest part. I'm a nervous talker ( wish i could kick this), the staff were pro's and I'm pretty sure not the first nervous nelly they've had. Took the dentist an hour to transform two gruesome chompers into some pearly whites.
