Services
IMI Critical has long been recognised as a world-leader in the provision of flow control solutions. Our products allow vital industries to operate safely, cleanly, reliably and efficiently, so that they can provide us with the energy, resources and materials that underpin modern lives.

IMI Critical's family of specialist companies design, manufacture and service bespoke valves and actuators that precisely control the flow of steam, gas and liquids under extremes of pressure and temperature, as well as intensely abrasive or corrosive operating conditions.
Our portfolio of control valves fall into three broad classes based on the severity of the application they serve: general service, semi-severe and severe service. Our portfolio includes several proven technology platforms, including BTG, ABJ, DRAG, Zikesch, IMI Bopp & Reuther and the valve technology acquired from Sulzer Ltd.
Ensuring power plants operate economically with daily cycling or reduced loads requires reliable superheat and reheat stages to optimise the heat recovery steam generators - and ensure the steam is near saturation. Too hot may damage equipment and too cold will result in excess water leading to loss of control and piping damage downstream.
The task of any steam boiler is to provide the correct amount of high-quality steam: safely, efficiently, and at the correct pressure. A certain area of water surface is required in a boiler from which to release the steam. Clearly, as steam is generated, the water in the boiler evaporates, and the boiler must receive a supply of water to maintain the level.
Our engineered chokes meet the challenges of higher well head pressures, aggressive fluids and entrained solids combined with velocity control. With specialist engineered trims, we offer lifecycles unmatched for the most severe service. This project was undertaken for Kashagan, one of the world's largest oil development fields in the.
