Henry Bandet founded the HG Capital funds in 1995, and is a Partner in HG Capital. He has originated and structured more than $1.5 billion of value add and opportunistic real estate investments in the Western U.S. Prior to founding HG Capital, Mr. Bandet was the President of the Hunting Gate group of companies, a diversified real estate business with offices in California and England.
He holds a California real estate broker's license. Mr. Bandet graduated from Stanford University with a B.A.S. degree in Economics and a B.A.S. degree in Applied Earth Sciences, both with honors. Andrew Jobst is a Partner in HG Capital.

The original Hunting Gate company and investment entities were founded near London, England in 1946. In the U.K., Hunting Gate engaged in a broad range of real estate-related investment activities, including development, construction, management, and investment in both commercial and residential assets.
HG Capital is committed to a strong alignment of interests with its investors. The firm's principals have invested in excess of 10% of the capital deployed by HG Capital. The firm maintains institutional standards for fund governance and transparency. HG Capital's principals have worked together in the firm since its inception in 1995.
Traditional real estate investment entities such as pension funds, REITs, investment banks, and most opportunity funds, must typically deploy large amounts of capital. Yet, relatively few real estate assets are large enough to meet their criteria. The result is a competitive and efficient market.
