Strange experience at Tommy's yesterday. They have always been my 'Go To' for car repairs so when my front bumper fell off, I thought of them.
The two women in the office who really do all the work looked my car over for an estimate and came back saying the whole bumper would have to be replaced.
I was flabbergasted since the bumper is in good shape and, to me anyway, just needed new bolts or pins to be good enough. Oh they couldn't guarantee their work without doing it their way. I understand what they say but argued that it would be at a great expense to do it their way

So I took my car either on a Wednesday or Thursday so they could see how badly was the damage to my car due to being in an accident. The old guy tells me that he is going to order the parts that day and to bring my car again on Monday so they can start the repairs. I bring it that Monday and everything was going smooth. I get a call later that afternoon and I can't quite remember her name. DONT GO HERE , i'm surprise it has a lot of good reviews! I bought my car here 2 year ago when I got in a car accident , before going in they talk to you nice and show you before and after picture of other cars good customers service and I though they did a Good job when I went to pick my car I was like wow like nothing ever happens to it , as time past they did something to my car from the bottom when it rains it's gets wet all over the back seat , the side it got crash my wheel makes a sound ever since I got it back ,I can't open my door from the inside it was crash on and

A few years ago I took my cheap Civic to Tommy to get a quote on a bumper-scratcher, a cosmetic thing, and I was quoted over $1k to get it repainted, I asked for a cheaper option, it's a Civic! but Tommy wasn't interested in doing a cheap job, so I ended up giving my business to somebody else, paid half, and be happier with it. Tommy probably does a perfect job, but I needed Walmart, not Bloomingdales.

I had been to Tommy's before for repairs from a car accident with another car and they did amazing work on it
So when I needed repairs for this car I thought of them first. I. Called and was disappointed to be turned away because they're too busy and are only accepting certain insurance companies. Completely bursted my bubble on this place. Guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

So my 2018 Honda Accord was in an accident it's a turbo charged car so I was really skeptical on who to take it to. On a recommendation I took it to Tommy's auto body and collation initially I took it in for a fender replacement but they found frame damage and additional damage to the vehicle that was not visible. They took really good care of my car and even put me in a rental when the car took longer to fix. Mari Adriana Drew and the rest of the group are great. People that give a low review are crazy. This is my second time. Not only did they go far and beyond they kept up! the customer service is beyond what anyone else does. Not sure if the guy in the back is the owner but he is down to earth and 100% logically correct. This is my only place to ever go back. Even the people that work on the car knows what is going on. 1000% the best service I ever had in Hayward Ca. Tommy team please keep up the good work.

Id give this a 2 star since they worked on our van and had no issues getting it done, was a simple part replacement.
Now the minus 3 stars are from my last visit getting our second car needing a repair. I was turn down due to my car being modified and no guarantees on the repair. This to me shows that the owner thinks poorly of the work quality and no enthusiasm or pride on his shop. So... I took my business somewhere else and I'm glad I did.
And for the reviews addressing the owner's attitudes/manners, well they're correct. It's ashamed that this is one of CSAA's recommended

I am very pleased with my experience here. I was hit from behind and my own insurance guy couldn't do what I needed. This place helped me from beginning to end with all body work needs and I am very happy I chose this place. Not only did they handle my insurance work very well, I got my car back looking better than it has in a long time. They are a very good place to go for car repair needs.

The owner is a bully who talks down to customers depending on his mood. I have heard him yelling at people. Very unprofessional and does not care about customer service. He needs to take an anger management class and take a class on how to treat people with compassion, dignity and respect. I've seen him talk down to minorities. Not worth your time dealing with his over inflated ego that is clearly taller than his height.

For someone as old as he is, he needs to go back to school and learn how to respect other people especially his clients. He shouldn't be yelling at his adult clients. I will never take my car for repairs at Tommy's again. The owner is a short man that has a big ego. I took my wifes car there for repairs. It was set up with Stephanie. Because it was Geico that was the insurance company of the person who hit my wifes car, he stated someone from Geico must see it first. We know what were doing here. Been doing it a long time now. It started with making a call trying to figure out how setting an appointment works, the first person to answer was not only super agitated to begin with but started raising his voice when I would ask questions in regards to when I could bring in my car. And then I got sent over to another office person which she seemed to be more professional and I had set up my appointment.

I did not get any work done here. I am rating this place by the way they conducted themselves. I made an appointment (like what yelp suggested) came on time, got an estimate and an education on how things would work. The only reason I did not pick them because they were slammed and another place would take me in earlier. In and out of there in about half an hour. Thank you for your time.

I love what they've done for our Honda Civic. It came in with a flat tire, broken bumper, and a whole bunch of other problems. The body to the car was a wreck and these guys fixed our car up and now it looks brand new! She runs smoothly and looks gorgeous! Thank you so much, I highly recommend these guys.
