My son passed away in September and I am so happy I chose this place. David Cook was amazing and so thoughtful in all the arrangements. He is also a psychologist who offers his services free of charge to the families he serves. They are by far the most reasonable priced funeral home anywhere around and no corners were cut. The coffin we ordered wasn't up to their standards when it came in so we ended up getting a much more expensive one at no extra cost. This is a Christian organization and it shows.

This funeral home in Indian Trail, had the services of my daughter...overall the service was nice....however when the charges were paid in full, one of the directors (David) needed me to come back to sign her death certificate. Upon arrival, and per a discussion per the phone before arrival, I requested my daughter's jewelry she wore. This was prior to her creamation. One of the funeral director's, named (David) refused to give me my daughter's jewelry. First stating the jewelry was "boxed up" with my daughter's body. My stepbrother passed in September and my sister passed away a couple weeks ago, just before thanksgiving. We’ve had a lot of loss lately and I can’t say enough good things about the staff, including Mike and David Cook. Not only did they do awesome on my brothers funeral, they did awesome on my sister’s as well.
They went above and beyond to accommodate us and guide me along, this was the first funeral I ever had to plan. They were kind and helpful and unfortunately, with my sister’s funeral, they had to deal with some unpleasant behavior from my mother about jewelry that we had all agreed

Amazing service and a place. Clay went above and beyond when it came to accommodations for the family. Was very humble and understanding. They trully understand what it means to loose a loved one. They even took care of the things that we didn't ask for. They just did it out of the goodness of their hearts. God is Great!! Thank you everyone.

This funeral home has handled several of my families personal friends as well as a few of my family members. Clay Cox brings professionalism to his services and David L Cook brings a huge amount of compassion for those hurting. They have met the various financial needs of these families and have never turned them away due to lack of finances. There are other funeral homes in the area and they too have handled people we knew. We have never heard the praises about them as we have Life and Legacy. Save yourself some frustration and just choose the best from the start.

During the most traumatic time of my life Good Shepard made sure my family did not have to worry about anything. They took care of all the details for my husbands funeral. They were the most caring and amazing people I have ever met. They were extremely sympathetic and comforting towards myself and family members. I like visiting them from time to time because they bring a sense of peace to me. I highly recommend them! My husbands service will be memorable to my family and friends. I can not say enough about the service we had from Good Shepherd. Rob is the kindest man ever! He made us feel right at home. And took care of all the details during this time for our family.
