Alimony in Texas is called "Spousal Maintenance". The law regarding Alimony / Spousal Maintenance is complicated, but at the Law Office Greg Whitten we help our clients make sense of Alimony / Spousal Maintenance, and all the other issues that surround divorce and family law. To qualify for Alimony / Spousal Maintenance after divorce, there are numerous factors that must be proven.
As a father of four, and lawyer taking care of child custody cases for years, Attorney Greg Whitten knows there is no greater love than that a parent has for his or her child. Unfortunately, not all parents act that way, some parents use the children against the other parent, and often each parent believes that his or her love for the children is greatest and provides the best home environment.
Child Protective Services ("CPS") plays a vital roll in the protection of children. However, an angry spouse, a mad ex, a vengeful family member, and others may try to use CPS as a weapon against you. Even a simple mistake or case of mistaken identity can result in a CPS investigation. When CPS calls or knocks on your door and just "wants to talk", what do you do?

First time I sued someone after non payment for work completed over a year ago, and with the help of GW, he was able to not only win my case, but did so by getting me more money than I was expecting.
He is diligent, he is knowledgeable, he is precise, he is intelligent and he is forthright.
I would highly recommend using him again should the need arise, and look forward to doing so, knowing he has my best interests at heart.

Going through a divorces is extremely taxing on both parties. Working with Greg, and his staff helped reduce some of the stress. His professionalism and in depth knowledge of family law allowed me to navigate my complex divorce.
I highly recommend retaining Greg not only for family law, but for contract review as well.

High marks for Greg and his staff, Hope. High integrity, and balances what is "right" vs what is possible. a family man who doesn't take a cookie-cutter approach, and instead will personalize and think through things with you to ensure you are comfortable with approach, and never surprised. would highly recommend!
