Our first studio outside of Charleston will be located in The Line, a 16-story tower fronting the Rail Trail in the heart of Charlotte's South End. He earned the UFC Knockout of the Night award twice during his professional career. His championship resume dates back to the age of seven-winning national titles in BMX, a state championship in high school wrestling, and two state championships in high school hockey.
Luke brings over 15 years of coaching, teaching and personal training experience - including wrestling, Brazilian jiu jitsu, MMA, kickboxing, and strength and conditioning. As a personal trainer and coach, Luke loves helping others find their inner grit and leave the gym feeling empowered. When he's not at the gym, you can find Luke hanging with his family - Jordan, Jagger, Riley, and their pup Bucks.

Choose to glove up in kickboxing or ignite your inner warrior during GRITFit Bootcamp. We believe in a supportive community for everyone - beginner to advanced.
These classes combine Kickboxing with bodyweight movements to create the perfect full body workout. This harmonious combination, paired with our HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) style of training, promises amazing results. Whether you're a beginner, or have years under your belt, we punch, kick, lift, and HIIT as one.

You will not be charged unless you do not show up for your class without notifying us to cancel 2 hrs prior.
Zero experience necessary - come as you are and experience a high-energy class! GRIT BOX was created to allow beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts to get a killer workout together in the same class. There is first floor retail parking in The Guild parking garage all day (first three floors before 7 a.m. and after 5:30 p.m.).

I was temporarily stationed in Charleston and decided to try this place out for a few months. I took classes with Dani, Dylan, Mike and Casey and they ALL killed me EVERY time in the best way! Great at critiquing too, they won’t watch you do it the wrong way. If you want to be sore the next day, this is the place

This is the best workout place that I have been to by far! If you want a good work out while having a positive environment where the instructors actually take time to help you one on one this is your place to go! You don’t need to have experience in kickboxing before or any work out for that matter, everyone here is encouraging and willing to teach! Take advantage of the one free trial class and see what I mean for yourself :)

GritBox Downtown is amazing. It is such a welcoming environment; as soon as you walk in, full of smiling faces, in addition to the all star faces on the lockers. The class itself is a combination of kickboxing and strength/stability training. The instructors do a wonderful job of demonstrating the moves, going through them slowly, then they walk around the class to give individual instruction to those that need help with their form (talking about myself here).

I started going to GRITBOX about 7 months ago and it has completely changed my life. The atmosphere and all the coaches are so inspiring and supportive of your fitness goals and make working out fun. The classes are a great mix of cardio and strength training- 45 minutes flies by when you’re working out with music and lights!

I’ve been at Gritbox for almost a year now. It’s such a great place!! I’m 18 so I’m younger than almost everyone here but not once did that even seem to matter. Everyone is so welcoming and kind here! They are all also very encouraging during a tough workout, pushing you to do your best but not ever more than you can handle. I came here with no clue whatsoever about boxing but now I can say it’s super fun and a great workout and I’ve come a long way. Everyone here is awesome, I always feel wanted and at home when I walk in. I get the motivation I need to achieve my fitness goals every session I attended. The facility is always clean, it doesn't smell like gym bag and everyone including the other customers are always happy and friendly. The workout for kickboxing class is hard yes but fun. Each instructor brings a unique spin to the class and is constantly wandering to each person helping with form and motivation. This is a must go to place... Love it.

I started new year with amazing Fitness team in West Ashley! I am doing 6weeks challenge program at this gym, and i am loving it so far! (Just finished 3weeks today). Coaches are super friendly and highly encouraging me. Every classes has different workout rutine which makes me not getting bored of it. And also they suggest nutrition plan with side challenges, that works great with my body condition too! Has every equipment that i need. Oh and the fit bar offers various menus for post/after workout and taste amazing 😉
