Services
As we embark on our 50th Anniversary year, we have a new project to add to the nearly 100,000 we've completed since 1971. This project will focus on YOU -- our employees. You are the most important piece of CTL | Thompson's success, and that has been true since my father, Bob, founded the company. Your predecessors and current co-workers have and continue to trailblaze our path to success.
Consulting with our geotechnical, materials, environmental and structural engineering experts from day one yields the biggest return for the client's time and money. CTL takes a pro-active approach by servicing a project from site acquisition, due diligence, design and construction, through project completion, which can help the owner and design team identify and solve potential problems early, avoiding headaches later.
We are committed to improving our capabilities and technical skills to deliver practical solutions and services. We have high expectations of what people can do and hold each other to high standards of performance. We expect conduct characterized by personal and professional honesty, integrity and ethics.
CTL | Thompson has provided engineering and materials testing services in the greater Colorado Springs area for over 35 years from our permanent branch office, established in 1984. Our local location provides over 9,000 square feet of office and laboratory space. The local office is managed by Mr. Timothy A. Mitchell, P.E.

I had a employee driving a company truck by Cenntenial High School give me the finger and yell profanity at me and my 7 year old and 12 year old for no reason. Way to hire someone then give them a company truck way to represent the company. Then he live literally a block from the high school

Called in to get information on a commercial flat roof Here in Pueblo and request help scheduling an inspection. Whomever answers the phone must be a severely overworked employee because she placed me on an immediate hold. (which was totally fine btw. She asked permission and I said I would wait) However, when she picked the line back up and I asked if CTL did any work with commercial flat roofs, she scoffed at the question, put me on an abrupt hold without asking, and then picked back up with an attitude and told me to repeat my question. I responded that I no longer wanted her help and informed

I do agree with the other review about cost effectiveness. CTL was costly and it does seem like their services would be best for companies wanting out of the ordinary designs, not necessarily an owner-builder building a simple home. Working with Scott though was a pleasure. He always answered my questions thoroughly and got back to me within a reasonable time frame. For that type of customer service I do recommend them.

There are other engineers in Fort Collins who are more cost-effective. They can be helpful if you're looking for an esoteric building practice like helical piers or pervious concrete, but for common engineering practice or material testing you'll probably want to go elsewhere.
