Leach Animal Hospital is proud to serve Cape Cod for a range of pet needs. Our office is conveniently located on route 130 in Mashpee, and is easily accessed by those who live in the south Cape and beyond. It is owned and operated by Dr. Jonathan Leach, VMD, a Cape Cod native with a long history of veterinary medicine in both companion and farm animals.
At Leach Animal Hospital, you will find a compassionate and dedicated team of professional staff who will pay attention to the unique concerns of each pet owner. They offer quality medical care to your companions in a friendly, state-of-the-art atmosphere. Caitlin's relationship with the Leach family began many years ago, but she officially began working at the vet hospital in 2010.
Because we have veterinarians with broad ranges of expertise, we are able to accommodate your needs for dogs and cats, as well as small and large farm animals upon request. Dr. Leach's family holds a legacy of keeping animal companions healthy since 1933 when his father began his practice as the first veterinarian on Cape Cod.
We all love to let our dog "be a dog", especially on the salty shores of southeastern Massachusetts! But the wear and tear of athletic activities like energetic play on Cape Cod beaches, combined with the potential for arthritis in canine joints, can result in orthopedic problems in our four legged friends.

I love Leach Animal Hospital. They've been great, not only with routine care of my dog and cat, but also handled emergency situations well, always dong their best to get me in at the last minute of something unexpected comes up. The vets and techs are knowledgeable and very caring toward the animals they are treating.

Swapped vets from a place I won't mention to be polite. These guys care about my dog. The vets both Dr. Duffy and Dr. Leech are some of the brightest people I've met among vets in the entirety of my pet ownership. They are always optimistic, but honest about how your animal is doing. Their vet tech staff are all loving and accommodating to your animals and seem to adapt to the needs of the animal (they treat nervous dogs like they were their own). Overall there's nowhere else within 100 miles I'd rather bring my pets. These guys rock.

Dr. Leach is awesome! We can't say enough good things about Dr. Leach and his recent care of our dog Bailey and her torn ACL. We live on Cape Ann and traveled to Cape Cod for his innovative tight rope CCL surgery. He was caring, trustworthy, more than willing to answer all of of our questions, but most important he was a skilled surgeon who did a fantastic job on our Bailey. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Leach and his amazing staff and only wish that we lived closer as he would be our Vet of preference.

Sophie our beloved goldendoodle has been under Dr Leach's care since she was a pup and we couldn't be happier . The level of care and compassion shown to both Sophie and us is amazing. The entire staff provides a welcoming environment and our Sophie loves going to the vet. Appointments are scheduled promptly and conveniently. I have been bringing both of my dogs here since Dr. Leach moved to Mashpee. He is in my opinion without question the best in the business. Today was the most perfect example when my wife and I decided it was time to put our 16 year old long haired chihuahua down. One of the toughest decisions I have had to make in my life quite frankly. We just had to make the toughest decision to put our 13 year old lab mix down. i can't say enough about how helpful and compassionate Dr. leach and his staff are. He helped me try to keep her going (hip dysplasia) but was very realistic and practical about her prognosis. there are so many vets out there who will just take your money or manipulate you into feeling like abad person because you don't want to shell out thousands for your pet. thank God there are still those around with common sense AND compassion. I am so grateful to Dr. leach and his staff for helping me and my sweet dog

We took our 12 year old Lab with cancer to see Dr. Leach while staying at the Cape, and the care she received was amazing. I felt like we had been going there since she was a puppy. The staff was caring and concerned and would fit us in when we needed to bring her in for emergencies. When the end came, we took her in and the compassion of the staff was incredibly comforting. I can't recommended Leach Animal Hospital enough- I wish all vets were this good.

My family was at the Cape for a vacation with our Weimaraner. He got a puncture wound in his side on a Saturday. I called around to many vets, none of which would take him because most of them close at noon. I called Leach Animal hosp (40 mins away) and they gladly took him. The staff was so professional and nice. We had our dog back home by 3 PM. Even with meds, a sedative and stitches, the prices were very very reasonable. I would highly recommend. As a matter of fact I am going to have my second dog's records sent to the hospital in case we ever need them for her.

Both Dr. Leach and Dr. Geller are the most competent, compassionate, thorough veterinarians I have met in my 60 years of pet ownership. It is well worth the 80 mile drive to see that my beloved dogs and cat have the best of care over the past 8 years. Given a thorough explanation of the diagnosis and options, I'm allowed to make all the decisions in my pets care, without subjecting them to a lot of unnecessary, costly tests. My cat ask me to tell everyone what a great place this is! I can always get an appointment, they have the food she loves, and they're friendly and gentle.
From my standpoint, I have found they are competitively priced with any other veterinarian in the area. The waiting room area is clean and big enough for multiple animals so everyone has a place to be. They always explain things thoroughly and carefully and give me options that fit my cat and our budget. They also have financing available if that's an issue

Leach Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a few friends. It wasn't the closest vet hospital to where I lived, but I was willing to drive a little further to get good care for my dog. There wasn't one thing in particular that made me leave Leach for another hospital and I definitely don't think they're not a respectable animal hospital...I guess I just felt like I got a lot more personal attention with my new vet. Just to outline a few cases of contention...after finding out our dog had heartworm disease we were told the doctor would contact us with treatment options
