Super cute hotel! We are traveling cross country and stopped here for a night and was very impressed. The rooms are super clean! The staff is very hospitable at this hotel. I'm very happy I decided to book here, I was a little scared at first because you just never know really how the rooms are going to be, but this is great! It has a bed and breakfast mixed with a hotel vibe to it. It's cute!

Loud! Have a poolside room. Sounds like people singing karaoke down there but may be coming from the bar. The TVs are mounted on the walls so I can hear exactly what my neighbors are listening to....first sports and now late shows. I also know that they're setting the alarm for 5:30 am and which one is taking a shower first. It is literally like they are right beside me, it comes through so clearly. It is 11 pm and I hav to get up early. Frustrating!! Besides noise, hotel lobby/pool area look pretty up to date. Room is a little outdated. There were also a basket of dirty-looking washcloths

The high rating is relative to everything else in the area. Skip that ugly cluster of hotels by the highway and head down to historic, downtown Jamestown! Even for a single night stay, the Gladstone is such a better home base. Room prices are very competitive, especially for family-friendly suites. Located a 1-4 minute walk to the farmers market (Saturday mornings and Wednesday?), a pleasant café, and fine dining. Even if you are short on time, this little block of the real city center will make you glad for a break from the ubiquitous fast food and chain hotels of the road.

2 stars because the hotel wasn't that bad, 0 stars for hospitality. People that work for this establishment are not friendly, warm, or inviting. They make you feel like you are bothering them by calling to order room service or ordering a drink at the bar. Part of the experience of staying at a hotel usually includes friendly smiling faces since you are PAYING to stay there. Side note: they really need new heaters, we tried using ours and it smelt like burnt hair! Had to immediately turn it off. Very disappointing.

First time staying here but not in Jamestown. They were nice enough to let us check in early at noon to place our things. The first thing we noticed however was how rundown the building was and smelled of smoke including our room. No air-conditioning in any of the hotel hallways; or if there was it was turned down so low as to be ineffective; on a day that was 93 degrees with 50% humidity. Our room smelled even worse of smoke but we were willing to overlook that. So we turned on the A/C in our room and left. We came back around 615 and the room was HOT the A/C was broken and the toilet was

First night was fine, check in was easy enough, though the kid at the front desk forgot to program one of my two card keys. Not a huge deal, but definitely an oversight on their part.

Second night everything went down hill. When I got in after a LONG day at work, neither of my card keys worked. When I went down to the front desk, the desk attendant took a while to even come out (no bell or buzzer or anything), and told me that I had been checked out despite me clearly telling them I needed three nights when I checked in. The attendant cleared up the issue and reprogrammed my key card.

I went

This hotel is a good value. All the rooms ive stayed in have coffee pots, mini fridges, and all the standard stuff.... but do beware, there are huge differences from room to room.... some rooms have televisions from the 90's and others are very modern and new... when u book I would be sure and request a poolside room or a renovated room.

Had to stay here last night because of a white out snowstorm on our way home. Didn't expect anything special, from the outside not impressed but front desk gave us a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi tub and canopy bed for the regular price. Made getting stuck in a storm very nice and cozy. Two fireplaces, one on each room. Hope we get to stay here again!

Gladstone Inn & Suites was a great choice for my first visit to Jamestown. Located on one end of "main street", as the locals seem to call it, it was functional yet kitschy (sp?). Unassuming from the outside, especially with the "all night bar (casino?)" area and signage, it still satisfied quite nicely. It seems they have a variety of themed rooms available for rental, but the standard rooms were just fine. The Inn is two stories, with carpeted hallways on the interior. No general eating facilities, but 3-4 vending machines right near the front desk. There is a pool, though
