Cuoco Structural Engineers, LLC (CSE), is a full-service structural engineering firm specializing in commercial, residential, waterfront and institutional/municipal structures. In addition to our structural design work, we also provide specialty design services for projects involving curtain walls, railings, stairs, heavy timber, temporary shoring and excavation support.

CSE also offers a variety of consulting services: forensic analysis, third-party design review and expert witness testimony. We believe one important measure of a firm's success is developing ongoing relationships with satisfied clients. Dozens of developers, architects, municipalities and homeowners choose to work with us time and time again.
Services
Homeowners and architects use CSE's services for many types of residential projects-from producing construction and permitting drawings for large residential homes across the Northeast, to providing structural analysis for additions and renovations.

We work with a client's contractor to translate concepts and rough drawings into specific construction plans, complete with elevations, sections and calculations required to both build and submit for permitting.
CSE offers a full complement of engineering, review and consulting services on waterfront projects like seawalls, bulkheads, docks and boat lifts for commercial and residential clients. For residential clients, we help design new seawalls, assess existing ones for repair or expansion purposes, and perform construction supervision during the building process.
CSE works with clients in the insurance industry to independently investigate damage to commercial and residential buildings and determine causes, soundness of the remaining structure and potential for repair.

Our team performed numerous inspections for water and wind damage in the aftermath of hurricanes and super-storms in 2011 and 2012; and we regularly assess fire damage in commercial buildings and private homes as a part of an overall insurance investigation.A key part of this work is determining what damage was directly caused by the weather or fire event.

Wow, this guy was so rude on the phone when I asked if they could give me a quote for a small project at our home. He kept cutting me off and saying I charge by the hour, can't tell you how many hours I will need, and I don't make any profit with these projects, and I should probably charge more. That's all fine with me - you are free to run your business however you like. I'm happy to go to someone else who has better manners over the phone.
