In the 1940's the Hampton Funeral home in Scandia, Ks was purchased and also the Lasby funeral home in Chester, Nebraska In 1947 John C. Dart and Robert E. Surber joined the staff and continued the tradition of service to the North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska communities for many years.
