Dr. Chung is originally from Southern California and received his Bachelor of Science in biology from New York University in 2003. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry in 2006. Upon finishing his education in New York, he became licensed to practice in both Nevada and California.
Dr. Vavra and Angie Vavra established Palm Court Dental in 1992 with the belief that when you change someone's smile, you change their life. They grew the practice with gentleness and patience in mind, helping children and adults find a relaxing and comfortable experience.

I've been a patient for the last 7-8 years at Palm Court and I'm actually someone that loves going to the dentist but more so since the people here are so kind. The plus side is they have tv's with Netflix and massage chairs for when you are having work done or your teeth cleaned.
I was able to get my husband to switch from his dentist that he had been going to since he was 3-4 years old.
We also have both of our two toddlers go here as well. Everyone is so helpful and patient when one of my kids isn't willing to cooperate.

Palm Court Dental is the best place to go for dental work. Everybody there is nice and caring. Dr. Chung is very professional and very knowledgeable and experienced with his expertise. I went in for an emergency dentist appointment and the entire staff was amazing. They were very polite and considerate of my pain and limitations. They worked very fast, the environment was very clean, and they made me feel extremely comfortable and the prices weren't too bad either. Great experience, will definitely recommend to all, and plan to get all of my dental work done here.

I really enjoy coming here and knowing that my dental health is in excellent hands. The staff are very friendly and I rarely wait to be seen. The office is clean and the environment is friendly. I once referred this place to a friend who lives in San Marino. She still comes here for the same reasons mentioned above. Dr. Chung is always willing to answer any concerns. I have been coming here for years.

Nicole is an excellent dental hygienist. I needed deep cleaning and she is very skilled at her job. I’ve had traumatic experiences in the past but I have been coming to Palm Court for over 20 years. I would highly recommend this dental staff. They conduct themselves in a professional and cheerful manner. They always make you feel welcomed. They care not only about your dental needs, but provide a gentle hand no matter what your age is.

Dr. Chung is by far the best dentist I've ever had and I've had many dentists in the last 20 years. He and the staff in the office are extremely professional and provided excellent customer service. The treatment I received was painless and he was very patient despite the many problems he had to fix in my mouth. I found Dr. Chung through word of mouth and I highly recommend him to anyone in the area (and out of the area too as I drove 45 minutes to get here)

I’m a previous patient for over 15 years ago and I’m glad to return. The staff was very warm and friendly. The office atmosphere is clean and inviting. The equipment is modern and updated. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything that had to be done for my treatment. This was a very positive appointment.

I don’t really write reviews that often but with the amazing service they provided for me it’s the least I can do. I have Delta insurance and I paid minimal out of pocket but what I really loved about the place is the fast service. I would schedule my appointment and within 3 minutes I’m already talking to the dentist and starting my procedure. They make you feel at home and part of the team explaining what needs to be done and how much it will be overall. Personally I paid every procedure the day of but they did let me know that they have payment plans. I am definitely bringing my daughter

Quick response when messaging them from their website! Got me scheduled after maybe 15 minutes of me contacting them through email. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Doctor was patient enough to go over each problem area and give solutions. He didn’t seem judge mental or rude (like I’ve experienced before). They even started treatment same day since I let them know what was bothering me. Made sure I was comfortable through each step. So happy I found them!

My friend recommended Dr. Chung. I was hesitant at first because he's about 25 minutes away from home but I was not disappointed! Everyone is so nice and respectful. You really feel welcomed here. Dr. Chung takes the time to explain to you what the issues are and gives you options so you don't feel forced into any treatments. You won't feel like you are just another patient like you would in a big dentist office like Western Dental. I don't think a dentist has gone over everything as clearly or as well as Dr. Chung did today. Thank you! The space is clean and comfortable, too

Don't understand how anyone could not be pleased with Dr. Chung and his staff at Palm Court Dental! Whenever I needed a dental cleaning or a yearly checkup with x-rays, Dr. Chung has been extremely considerate, professional, and cooperative working with my schedule and insurance plan. I feel good knowing that I can trust Dr. Chung with my teeth and feel safe in how careful and honest he is in this current environment. This is my favorite dental office in the world. This location is NO WHERE near my house anymore but I make the drive because the service and staff are excellent.Dr. C has a soft touch and got the job done without any pain. He went through all the options with me and the pro and cons of each option. I had a lot of questions and the doctor was patient and answered all of them for me. The staff is incredible and always so helpful. The hygienist is phenomenal he has a gentle but thorough way of making everything feel nice and shiny! No one loves going to the dentist, but these people are so friendly

Palm Court Dental offers great services. Everyone was very helpful, gentle, and personable. I'm not one to love going to dentists. It takes a lot for me to even step into a doctor's office. You literally have to push and pull me to get me to the check ups. However, after my experiences here, I can say I don't mind seeing the dentist and hygienist.

First time visit - possibly last!
While filling out paperwork, I came across a form that stated there was a $5 "Comfort Care Fee". Because I was confused, I asked the receptionist what that was. I mean, I haven't been charged for something like this before. (Have you?) She started to answer something about complimentary toothbrushes but confused herself. She then opened a drawer and read a prewritten prompt about how they "go above and beyond for their patients". Since I was still deciding on the fee, I went ahead with the appointment. One time won't hurt, right?

I had an appointment scheduled today 11/7 which I had to cancel due to a emergency! So the way they communicate is via text which is fine... I went ahead and texted them on Monday 11/6 at 9:24am that I was cancelling my appointment for Tuesday 11/7 at 2pm. Whoever is texting me said that I didn't give a 24 hour notice... hmmm excuse me! That was a 28 hour notice! They practically said our office our policy! According to them they close every other Monday and Friday. However on their website it says different

I am going to be completely honest in saying that I had not been to the dentist in a very long time. That being said, my experience with Dr. Neal Vavra was a breath of fresh air!!! I felt extrememly welcomed from the moment I stepped right through the door!!! Every person whom I was in contact with regarding my visit was just amazing, very helpful, very pleasant individuals. Recently in May 2016 my kids had dental appointments on a Monday and had to call in and cancel the day before due to conflicting appointments with school and medical.
Just recently July 18 I received a bill for $81.20 for not giving proper 24 hours notice and to cover the costs for 2 dental assistants.
Thank you Palm Court Dental and the inept billing department. Now to look for a new dentistry.

I have been going to Palm Court Dental for the past 6 years.. Even though I moved.. I still drive all the way Palm Court. Everyone there staff treats you like family and they are interested in what is going on in your life. The doctor is so patient and gentle, he is never in a hurry and takes his time to talk to you and find out how your life is going. Other places I have been dentists are always in a rush and don't even talk to you. My health is important to me and I appreciate him taking the time to evaluated my health and not be in a rush. I don't think I could ever go to another office

I called to schedule an appointment for a filling that fell out of my molar it was very sensitive believe me, they scheduled me the very next day so awesome. This place is very well kept and really nice and clean inside everything is up to date from the floor up I'm glad I made my decision based on their yelp reviews the staff is very nice and easy to talk to can't say enough good things about my visit it's truly the best dentist experience I've had ever. I'll definitely be going here for all my dentistry needs in the future.

Seriously the best dental experience myself and children have EVER had! Dr. Vavra and his staff are one of a kind. Monique's cleaned my toddlers teeth today and made her feel right at home, the Dr.s office staff are always interested in what's going on in our lives and remember what we have talked about. This place is a hidden Jewel and if you're thinking of taking your little ones to a child specialist dentist, you don't need to pay the extra. I have found the perfect dentist for my little one and the rest of my Family. She can't wait to go back!!
