Sheefa Pharmacy, your friendly neighborhood pharmacy, has been in the community for many years. We currently operate four vibrant stores in Paterson, East Orange, and Clifton, New Jersey. Our first location, in Paterson, was established in 1992 and acquired by the current owners in 1998. The second location opened its doors in East Orange in 2000.
Sheefa Pharmacy is strongly committed to providing quality care services. Our certified, well-trained staff are readily available to dispense not only prescriptions, but also health information specific to your needs. Sheefa will guide you towards wellness through a means of education and consultation assistance.
Ashraf Latif is the owner and CEO of Sheefa Pharmacy in East Orange, a very successful business. He was given the "Jewel of the City" award a few years ago for his outstanding contributions in Essex County. He also has extensive training in Diabetes Education & Pharmaceutical Compounding. Sheefa Pharmacy is the only pharmacy accredited by PCAB for compounding in Essex County, NJ.
The staff is always courteous, and remembers the customer's name after just a few visit. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable about alternative holistic and natural herbs verses pharmaceutical drugs. In my humble opinion they are far more superior to the other pharmacies in my area especially for personalized service, where you are treated like family and appreciated for your patronage.

I have been here multiple times for PCR testing recently. They have made the process seamless! The longest wait I've had during an unusually busier day was 20 min, which in the grand scheme of things is very minimal. Typically I'm in and out with in 10 min or even less. The staff here is very nice and helpful which is why I drive 20 minutes out of my way to come here for testing.

My husband and I had a Covid test appointment and we still had to wait half an hour because of the volume of people they entertain. Unorganized and crowded. On top of that we still haven't gotten our covid results for a week and half now. My cousins who got their test before us have been waiting for 2 weeks now. If we got covid, we are probably fine by the time the results come. They are taking long line of walk in and couldn't even give priority to the people that have appointment . Very unorganized.

I came here to get tested for Covid-19 with the PCR test. Compare to the other places I've been to over the last few weeks; the line is quicker even without appointment, there is an outdoor heater, and there were at least 20 people who are working there from the ladies who are helping you to scan the QR to order your test, filling up the forms (if you don't have an insurance) and the list goes on. The PCR test is free for everyone, unless if you're getting a rapid test ($55). Once again, the service was quite good compare to the other places I've been to get Covid test.

Racist staff against black people every time there is an issue with our prescription doctor Mahmoud walks away mid conversation while trying to resolve our issue medicine never ready on time or magically not available on our day of picking it up. Insurance information not updated on the system. They discriminate against non Arab cultures, very disappointed in the service. Definitely going to switch this pharmacy and take our business else where. Never seen doctors treat asthmatic patients this way. Especially knowing the person's life depends on that one puff. Very inhumane and unprofessional

Never deliver when they say they will, NO answer when you call impossible to speak with someone. My fathers medications are needed and this place is making things very difficult. Looking to switch pharmacies now. SO DISAPPOINTED ... this place is leaving an elderly man in stress without his medications during this time- you should be ashamed. This has been ongoing for a month!

Not Good covid response. Customers are made to wait in between the doors in the attached photo. 6 people crammed in there waiting for prescription. I tell them this is not safe all of us in this tiny spot. Their response is "yes it's not safe, but we can't ask Customers to line up outside". Why not? There are lives at stake, a pharmacy should set the standard for safe distancing. Even grocery stores line up customers outside safely. I could imagine how well they practice safe handling of medicines when they can't even handle a customer line.God bless and please make

Sheefa Pharmacy has been the leading In South Paterson for the past 20 years. The company works to serve the needs of a neighbor that does not receive enough attention as other cities do. The store has workers that speak a variety of languages and can cater to people of Forgein background. Customer service at the pharmacy is special many of the patients have been loyal customers for years and have built a strong relationship with the workers at 1040 Main Street.
