Master Mohamed Elshikh opened International Martial Arts in 2001 in Woodbridge, NJ. Over the past 17 years, the school moved three locations and now has it's own private building and parking lot at 54 Cutters Dock Road, conveniently located two blocks behind Strawberry's Pizza. Unsure if taekwondo is right for your child?
My 4 year old looks forward to the days he has Tae Kwon Do. He has worked with both Master Elshikh and Instructor Manny who are fantastic with the kids. My 2 year old is not yet old enough to join, but has already learned to count in Korean just from listening to her brother. Money well spent! Extremely motivating and inspiring.

Taekwondo, which is the national martial art of Korea with a heavy emphasis on kicks, is one of the proudest cultural heritages for the Korean people. Like any martial art properly taught and properly practiced, Taekwondo is a non-aggressive and ethical system of self-defense that can benefit children, adults and the elderly.
1. Hold belt at its center, ends even, with stripes (if you have them) on the left. 2. Place center of belt on front center of jacket, about one inch below the naval (a location called the tanden). Wrap belt around your waist, crossing the right side over the left side at center of the back. Stripes will now be on your right side.

Master Christopher Aldama's IMATKD school helps all kids of all ages and adults to enhance their self-esteem, and also teach them respect and discipline. My 6 year old daughter Skhye started her classes almost a year now in June and absolutely loves it now, and she looks forward to her TKD classes. I am so proud of her achievements and I appreciate a lot Master Christopher Aldama and his hard work in always bringing out the best in our kids. At this school everyone is treated with respect. We treat each other like Family. So if your looking for a safe and awesome place, I recommend they come

I've known Master Aldama for many years and can vouch for his personal integrity, consistency, work ethic and years of dedication to tae kwon do.
He teaches age appropriately - and inclusive of all abilities, with a focus on the building blocks of
technique -- and fun. Equally important is his thoughtfulness in developing a sense of community spirit in his dojo and the neighborhood. The best part is watching all the little ones lined up doing their kicks!
