Newton County Animal Clinic is a mixed animal clinic located in Newton County Mississippi. We strive to offer great veterinary care in a clean and safe environment. We take great pride in our clinic and the services that we provide. We stay up to date on our policies through continuing education and staff development training.
Since our patients can't tell us what is going on, it is important that we are able to do in house blood work. We are able to do general profiles on our geriatric patients as well as more comprehensive profiles on our sick patients. Our wellness plans are tailored for our patients as they grow. The cornerstone of all of our wellness procedures is a through physical exam.

Services
I was born in Grenada, MS, but now call Newton County my home. I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at MSU in 1998. I bought Newton County Animal Clinic in 2004. I strive to offer the same quality care and compassion for the animals of Newton County that Dr. Gipson started in this office over 20 years ago.
A: We will see your pet without an appointment, but appointments allow us to better schedule our time so we can perform our necessary surgeries and give each appointment the time it requires for a complete exam. We also do farm calls, so calling ahead will let you know if the Doctor will be in, or if they are out on a call.

I love Dr Barnes She it's awesome always answers my questions calls me when my baby was sick and sent me pictures of her. I love everyone at the clinic they are the sweetest people that I have ever used for my vet for my puppy and I'm so glad that my mother-in-law father-in-law sent me there. Cuz Dr Barnes and her staff is wonderful I love them

I had. 3 month old Great Dane thrown in my lap. Last year. He has been a great dog but has become aggressive toward other people. I decided to have him neutered but was concerned about his aggression and safety of the vet assistants Doctor Barnes was not deterred by his behavior. She prescribed medication to calm him and provided a muzzle. It was a bit of a struggle to get him inside but once he was in, everything went off without a hitch. I appreciate Doctor Barnes willingness to work with me and Bleu.

My family and I moved to the area about a year ago so we didn’t have a family vet...until today. I took my big baby Jax to Newton Animal clinic today and will not be changing anytime soon. Glad we found a new place that has the nicest vet I’ve ever met. She spent time talking with me and going over different avenues with regards to my dog’s horrific allergies. Just a great lady who really does care about the animals she sees. If you’re looking for one of the kindest and most informative vets out there, this is the spot!

I had an emergency with my 7 month old Belgian Malinois. He had gotten hit by a car. They were so great with iust not treating our family fur baby but was very compassionate and understanding with us. I was so pleased with how they handled the situation - they are our new vet!!! Thanks so much for everything!!
