Owner Jerry Johnson has been repairing cars for over 26 years and has been a certified Senior Master Technician for 18 of those!. We realize that having your car in the shop can be stressful sometimes so we don't ever talk down to people and we like to explain what exactly is wrong with your vehicle or actually show you the part that had to be replaced and why, so that you can understand what's going on.
We won't be just throwing parts at your vehicle hoping it will be fixed, we're going to use high tech machines and computers, and Jerry's many years of experience to find out exactly what's wrong. We can do the basics for you as well, such as our full service which includes an oil change with new filter, checking your tire pressures, checking your air filter, topping off all fluids and making sure there isn't anything going undetected.

DO NOT GO TO VALLEY AUTO (Lander, WY). Owner Jerry Johnson is a weasel. He said he could work on my truck, kept it for three weeks, then called and told me to pick it up because he "had hit a wall mentally" and could no longer work on it. I paid $250 towing to get it there and another $250 to get it back so he cost me $500 and did nothing. His numerous excuses were; he didn't have time, did not have the mechanics, and he had Covid. Although, Covid did not prevent him from going Antelope hunting for a week before he told me to get my truck off his lot. This was a simple transmission

We were driving through the area and had some issues with our truck. Valley Automative was extremely helpful. We were fortunate they had a few cancellations and were able to get us in quickly, so we didn't have to sit in town for a week. They had us on the road in 3 hours. We werr lucky and they were amazing.

Valley Auto claims to be the local expert on Ford trucks so I brought my 2005 Ford F150 in because the 4 wheel drive was not working. They informed me that I needed a new wheel hub and actuator on the drivers side. They charged me $750 to install both parts and declared the problem fixed. No warning lights were on so I took their word for it. A few months later when I had my rotors and breaks replaced by another mechanic he noticed that the passenger hub was engaged with the 4 wheel drive when it shouldnt be and the drivers side would not engage when put in 4 wheel drive. I took it back to valley

Jerry and co. do incredible work at a reasonable price. I have since moved from Lander, and I miss being able to drop off my vehicle with Jerry to get it serviced and looked at. I have referred many friends to him over the years, and every single person has walked away a very happy customer. I went out of my way to login, and write this review, because I hope he continues to do well - he deserves all the business he can get.

Wife's Jeep had a no start problem. Took it out and let Jerry try to figure it out. It would never duplicate the problem for him. He said it could be a couple of things but didn't just want to throw parts at it. He didn't charge us a thing. I told him if it did it again we would bring it back out and let him try again. I worked at a Ford dealership for over 10 years and electrical problems are the biggest pain when they won't duplicate. I really appreciate his honesty and not throwing parts on it and charging me an arm and a leg. Really liked how neat and clean his shop was and his wife(receptionist

I ran over a big rock in my little VW Golf last night. Strange noises and vibrations began coming from below... felt and sounded like I ripped the heck out of my transmission. Jerry Johnson (owner) came highly recommended by the local auto parts store (I'm an out-of-towner). Despite just dropping by unannounced, Jerry and his sons made room for me and had me up on the lift in no-time. What I thought was going to be a financial disaster turned out to just be some stuff bent and rubbing and scraping. After a few turns of a wrench and bangs of a mallet, Jerry and his boys had me back on
