Services
Sarah R. Watchko's practice areas include elder law and estate planning, Medicaid benefits for nursing home care and Department of Veterans Affairs pension benefits, special needs planning, and trust and estate administration. Sarah was selected for inclusion in the 2018 Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" in the area of Elder Law.
Rachel Keller has been practicing law since 2009. She joined Hill & Watchko, LLC after spending seven years practicing insurance defense and personal injury litigation at a boutique Atlanta law firm, where she handled hundreds of litigation matters and has completed jury trials and numerous mediations.
Caroline Munroe is a former partner with Bettis, Hill & Vann, LLC (now Hill & Watchko, LLC) and now serves as Special Outside Counsel to the firm for special projects. She is employed by the firm Blanco Tackabery & Matamoros, P.A. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and thus works on matters with our firm when separately engaged.
Laura Barfield Baxter's focus includes estate planning, probate matters (including guardianships and conservatorships), corporate work, and litigation. Laura practiced law in Macon, Georgia for over nine years before moving to the Atlanta area. While in Macon, Laura had exposure to a wide variety of corporate transactional work, probate issues, and business litigation.
Our firm charges "flat fees" for estate planning services. We much prefer this method to billing hourly for our time, as flat fees promote efficiency and remove the uncertainty associated with hourly billing. The rates we charge are based on the complexity of the matter, the market rates for similar planning, and the degree of specialization and sophistication required of the attorney to complete the planning.

We were trying to decide whether to proceed with powers of attorney or guardianship.Rachel also helped us understand what legal issues we needed to address in order to set up a trust and wills for both of us . Cleve and Sarah are both great lawyers. They've assisted so many of our clients with will and estate needs. And they've always done a great job. My wife and I moved to Canton, Georgia from North Carolina, thus we had to update our last wills, advanced directives for health care and powers of attorney to meet Georgia laws.
