I offer a sliding scale in order to make my services accessible to folks of more modest income for whom individual, one-on-one Chinese medicine treatment is normally not financially accessible. A sliding scale allows folks to choose the payment option that best suits their income and access to resources.
I do not ask for any form of income verification when choosing a price and only ask that folks keep in mind that choosing a price at the lower end of the scale leaves fewer lower-cost appointments available for everyone else. Maura is an angel. I went to Sliding Scale Acupuncture when I was going through kratom withdrawals and actually having a physical / mental breakdown. Maura made space for me to be messy emotionally, which is really hard for me in general. I was asked many guided questions about what was going on for me and why I was seeking treatment. I got a lot of unwanted energy out during the accupuncture session and finally got some relief after several days of feeling like my body was truly broken. Definitely going to make this a regular practice. Thank you again.

Maura is very professional and knowledgable and did a very detailed evaluation of my (several) health concerns that brought me to acupuncture. She ultimately prioritized my digestive complaints and did corresponding treatment, which was very relaxing. I have recommended her service to strangers and friends since, and would recommend to anyone looking for a supportive, non-intimidating acupuncture experience.

Such a gem! Maura is always very generous with sharing knowledge and very curious about my experience of my body, so is a great acupuncturist if you are someone who likes to talk about body things and ask lots of questions. Also she did some gua sha recently, which was amazing in providing immediate relief for some tight body parts. I use my body pretty hard, so it definitely feels quite special to receive such healing care.
