At our school we focus on real world applications to the martial arts. What we teach works, it is not for show or for play, it is for self-defense. With this goal in mind we are willing to work harder, and through that effort we are able to achieve all the reasons one would have to do martial arts.
It is said the warrior's is the twofold Way of pen and sword, and he should have a taste for both Ways. Even if a man has no natural ability he can be a warrior by sticking assiduously to both divisions of the Way. For our younger kids (ages 3-8 years) we have our Mighty Mantis Program. This helps instil confidence and discipline, getting them ready for our Tang Soo Do Karate program.

Highly recommend. I wanted to take Krav Maga so that I could protect my son and myself if we were in harms path. From day one I started learning legitimate ways to defend myself. Master Mase’s deep passion and expansive knowledge on martial arts as a whole drove my interest for signing up for Tang Soo Do as well. My experience thus far has been nothing short of life altering. It has given me a stronger sense of self, confidence and independence.

A wonderful environment to learn practical application of Tang Soo Do. Master Doug is great with all ages. We go to classes weekly and every week we build on what we've learned. He makes sure to take the time to teach how to be a better element on our world, not just how to punch and kick. I highly recommend this dojang and the Tang Soo Do class!

Tl;dr: traditional, intense, honest
I've been a student here for over a year. I respect the instructor, Mr Mase, incredibly. I knew from the name that this is a school with integrity. It's not perfect, but you will get out more than you invest. I recommend both Tang Soo Do and Krav Maga
Pros:
-highly traditional Korean-American martial arts
-dedicated instructor
-great new facility
-two excellent martial arts
Cons:
-limited times (T-Th+Sat)
-mixed age and rank groups
Overall, I'd rate this school very high, and I'm proud to be a member here.

Has to be the best traditional school in town. Master Mase takes his students self-defense ability very seriously, and makes it his number one priority to ensure that you know what you're doing will save your life one day.
Tang soo do is split into a small children's class and an older kids to adults class. Krav Maga is adults only, and has a lot of military in it.
Don't expect to rank up quickly, as Master Mase does not hand out belts to anyone who doesn't deserve it. This is solace for people who work hard.
I can't recommend this school enough!

Anyone who has done martial arts for awhile knows that finding a good school can be tricky. After all, the belt system is hardly standardized, making it hard to go by, and there's all sorts of credentials instructors can throw at you. That said, I'm very impressed by the Five Rings Dojang. Master Mase not only has the experience, but he has credentials that would impress anyone. As far as the actual classes go, the school is located in a larger gym, a membership to which will be part of your tuition. To me, this is pretty awesome, as I can get myself nice and tired before class with some cardio

This is an impressive school with an impressive instructor. Mr. Mase teaches the art of Tang Soo Do in a way that keeps students engaged. He stresses practical application of martial arts in a manner the youngest students understand without working beneath the older ones. The classes are taught in a atmosphere of cooperation and friendly competition with safety utmost in mind. That said, it is not a class for wimps; real life defense is taught.
