I was happy with my extensions, however my hair cut, color & wash was not what I have ever experienced before. I specifically asked for layers on the BOTTOM half of my hair where my real hair ended & my extensions started. Jan ended up layering my WHOLE head with a razor. I have VERY thin hair, so you can imagine how disappointed I was when i returned home & found most of the top layer of my real hair, legit chopped, to a very short layer, after years of growing it out. Legit botch job!

Jan is an absolute professional. She worked her magic on my fine thin hair to give me a little length and, most of all, some fullness with a hair type/color that matched flawlessly. You know you are in good hands when your hair color salon professional, who used to be an Aveda instructor, didn't realize you had extensions until she started separating my hair. I have had other industry and user pro's comment in disbelief at the seamlessness of the extensions and, at closer inspection, over Jan's work. She books up and out and a call back may not be within 24 hours, but worth the patience

Went to see Heidi about 3 times over the past year and after the last appointment, I just couldn't take it anymore. The first time I saw Heidi, I loved my hair - I had previously had a bad haircut, and she was super accommodating. The second time was okay, but the way that she talked poorly about other clients was super irritating. I liked my hair, though, so I looked past it. After the last time though, I was so dissatisfied and disappointed. She left me sitting with color on my hair way longer than she should of; she said she would let me process for about 5 more minutes and came back -

I recently got a cut and foil from Heidi at Twist, and I have to say I was not very pleased with it. The haircut is fine, if a little shorter than I wanted, so 3.5 stars for that. What really upset me was the color, which I felt was pretty slipshod. It's a bit streaky, so the highlights don't look very natural. Worse than that, she didn't get very close to the roots in a lot of places. I booked a two-hour appointment on their website, but the whole thing took only an hour and ten minutes. That's a really fast full foil, in my experience. It shows.

After my visit to Twist I just had to write a review. I bought a Living Social deal online and honestly had no idea what to expect. Yes, it was a little difficult to find, but they have maps on the walls that lead you to the salon (there's barre studios there). Somehow my appointment didn't go through on the StyleSeat website and Angie ended up with two of us there. I was unable to find any proof of my appointment (yay technology), but Angela allowed me to keep my appointment. Both stylists there made me feel welcome and I felt at ease, not like I was in some uptight salon. Definitely

I purchased a groupon for a full foil, deep conditioning treatment, and a haircut. It was a pretty sweet deal and I've been looking for a new salon since the girl I used to see at a different salon left.

There are multiple phone numbers available online for Twist Hair Studio. I called several times and left messages which received no response (annoying!), which is partly why I can't give a higher score. Eventually I got in touch with the owner, Jan Zweig, who told me to book online since I was a Groupon customer. Jan was brusk on the phone, which was a big turn-off. But I really needed a haircut, and now I'm glad I went.
My stylist was Angela Holliday and she does excellent work. I came in with a couple of pictures and she gave me exactly what I wanted, as well as making some suggestions
