We started Valley Roofing & Exteriors in 2004 to fill a need in the Harrisonburg area for a high-quality shingle roofing company. We began offering our services to existing homeowners in addition to the new home contractors we had been serving.

Incredible experience with Valley Roofing. In the year of COVID where customer service has disappeared with most phone calls, instead I was met with a helpful voice on the telephone, prompt quote and efficient and reliable (and competitively priced) roof and seamless gutter. Valley roofing was able to work around a difficult schedule and left the facility spotless upon coming and going. Thanks so much for such wonderful service!

We had a very positive experience. We replaced our home and garage roof, installed gutters and gutter guards.
We had an odd roof area that leaked off and on for years. I explained how I wanted it fixed and they did exactly as asked.
The couple minor corrections we asked for were done quickly and to our satisfaction.

Getting services that are done by competent professionals can be quite the challenge in rural or otherwise underserved areas. I tried on numerous occasions to have roofers in my county fix a few tricky roof leaks that I had on my contemporary style home. (Lots of roof angles etc..) Nobody seemed to be able to address it adequately. I even had one roofer tell me that it could not be fixed given the slopes and angles involved.

Called them for gutter cleaning. They supposedly cleaned the gutters but a week later they were overflowing and water was running down the side of our house. They tried to sell me new gutters on a 10 year old house and a new roof as well. I would never recommend them to anyone. I believe they are dishonest.

This is going to be long, because I want to be thorough and accurate with a rating this low. For the most part, things started well with Valley. The estimator was very professional. We had several shingle options to choose from, the estimate to replace our skylight was reasonable, and we decided to replace our gutters as well. Overall, the price was high in comparison to others, but we went with them since they did a lot of work in our neighborhood.
