The beginning of the McSwain Carpets story is found in the spirit of cooperation between two brothers. Since the age of twelve, Ron McSwain worked at his older brother Ralph's flooring company, eventually paying for his college education by installing hardwood for Ralph's customers. Both of them learned their skills from their father and grandfather, who operated small hardwood flooring businesses from their homes.
One of the principles passed to them by their elders was to conduct business with "service you can trust." It was started with a single purpose-to provide outstanding service and quality workmanship in carpeting to the builders and homeowners of Cincinnati. In 1980, McSwain Carpets received "The Flooring Award, " one of the highest honors in the floor covering industry.

We have had a terrible experience with your company. We have paid thousands of dollars to have our entire house refloored. The installation process of our wood flooring and stairs was to begin on November 8, 2021, and was scheduled to be completed on November 19, 2021. The carpeting was scheduled to be installed on November 22, 2021. We were told two weeks was plenty of time to get the job completed.

If you are getting carpet in Cincinnati go to McSwains on Beechmont and ask to work with Mr. Lee Jones. I was in the store to look at samples ONLY as we are building a home out of state and cannot purchase from McSwain. Mr. Jones went above and beyond a the while knowing I would not be purchasing from McSwain. He not only showed me the samples I wanted to see, but look up pricing allowing me to compare, and made some recommendations for alternative options. He also helped me learn more about carpets to understand various materials and the impact on wear. Mr. Jones was upfront, honest, and respectful

My husband and I had finally made the “daunting” decision to replace the flooring in our entire home. We purchased carpet as well as vinyl flooring.
