PhysioFit Physical Therapy & Wellness, much like Los Altos itself, combines an inviting, community environment with exceptional talent. Founded and led by Kim Gladfelter, a keen, well-rounded expert of healing through movement and dedicated practitioner who takes a holistic approach to her practice.

We seek out the best people, and only those with that special something-happy, determined, compassionate professionals who truly enjoy connecting with both patients and their team members. Our top-tier team of physical therapists, therapeutic fitness instructors and support staff engage in highly motivating, highly personalized encounters that get you excited about healing.
Services
Each member of Team PhysioFit plays an integral role in who we are and what we do. From Physical Therapists to Pilates Instructors, our team is comprised of highly educated and skilled professionals offering comprehensive specialty physical therapy and wellness programs. If you are facing mobility challenges or simply want to stay fit, active and healthy, we have the right solutions.
My original reasons for wanting to be a physical therapist stemmed from my love of exercise to stay active, healthy and happy. This decision was strengthened when one of my classmates of 10 years, suddenly became a paraplegic. It was the first time I saw the life altering consequences a friend would face as a result of a physical injury.
Did you know we're one of the few, if not THE only clinic to offer a full 100% refund if you're not totally happy with your service? Here's how it works. Your happiness is important to us. If you're not entirely satisfied with any program, on the same day of service, simply tell us what went wrong and PhysioFit will refund your money.
If you're interested in joining a solid company that is excited about helping others and is dedicated to your professional growth, let's talk. Since 2002, PhysioFit Physical Therapy & Wellness are the Physical Therapists used by thousands of people in the South Bay area. We're now the fastest growing Physical Therapy Clinic for men and women in their 40's, 50's, 60's, who want to keep active and love to be healthy for many years to come.
Are you worried about back pain that isn't going away on its own, no matter how much 'rest' you've been told to get?. Are you tired of doing 'stretches, ' or other exercises for your back that just don't seem to work?. Does it concern you that you're unable to get back in shape because you are worried that exercising might hurt your back more?.

I've been coming for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed with the care I am receiving from Katrina. She gives me exercises that are challenging and helpful. I've already seen progress in the strength of my leg and a reduction in numbness in my foot from the disc pressure on my nerves.

I see Katrina Wong, and I have to tell you, this has been the best decision I've made this pregnancy, both for myself and for my ability to deliver VBAC.
I have twins that I delivered via cesarean. That pregnancy did quite a bit of damage to my pelvis, and abdomen. I also have scar tissue and nerve damage from the surgery all of which has led me to having a very uncomfortable second pregnancy.
Very early on I started to experience the same searing/ burning pain through my pelvis that I had near the end of my twin pregnancy and beyond. I also noticed that my abdomen was getting quite large earlier

I've been going to PhysioFit physical therapy for help with back and neck/shoulder issues for more than a year now. The physical therapists there are amazing (I've seen two of them) and I've also been working with two of the Pilates instructors there. As a team they have been amazing. I am much improved and am able to continue with normal daily activities and have been building strength.

I have been going to physiofit after trying several other centers that did not work for me. As an older adult in my 70’s I needed to find a therapist that really understood how to take care of my many pains and aches. This is not an easy therapist to find, I was looking for someone who both understands the anatomy of an older body but also has the caring touch and sweet demeanor. Well I was so happy to find Katrina who is all of those things she is the best therapist I have ever worked with and has completely help me transform my pain into exercises and stretches that truly support me in my healing

I'm very thankful to have had PhysioFit and Janet Perrino recommended to me for the physical therapy of my proximal humerus fracture. Having in office sessions focused on evaluating my progress, tuning the rehab I do on my own, and manual therapy is exactly what I was hoping for and is only possible because of Janet's knowledge and experience. It has been great!

I am a retired engineer who still work behind computer a few hours a day. For the past 10-15 years, very frequently I would get this pain in between my shoulder blades and extending down to my lower back. The pain would increase to the point that if I don’t lay down or don’t take pain killers I would not be able to move my arms or legs, and sometimes it would cause shortness of breath.
Over these years I had tried different medications, physical therapists, massage specialists, etc. but the solution that they offered none were effective and long lasting until I met Katrina Wong who works at

I had an amazing experience at PhysioFit working with Katrina. Since my 2nd pregnancy three years ago, I haven't been able to recover from diastasis recti and have felt really insecure about my stomach area and weak in the core for years. In my first visit, Katrina diagnosed and measured my diastasis, and explained why the stomach exercises that I was doing weren't working. She then gave me a set of exercises to start with at home and over the next few weeks, ramped up to more challenging exercises as I started to get stronger in my core.
Throughout the time that we worked together, she was extremely

I found this place when I was googling treatment for blocked milk duct. I saw Katrina twice for this issue. She is very friendly and professional, made my breastfeeding journey much easier. I also worked with her several times for postpartum recovery. I can feel my improvement, and she gave me a bunch of exercises that I can do at home for further improvement. Staffs there are very friendly too. I highly recommend this place and Katrina!

My daughter had been seeing Janet Perino for a few years. She is the most knowledgeable PT I know. Too bad she doesn't take Blue Cross anymore. I now buy five appointments to save.

I am a new mom and recently experienced extremely painful clogged milk ducts after the birth of my son. My boyfriend did a Google Search and found PhysioFit. I live in San Francisco and this was the closest (and only) place to get this sort of physical therapy done.

PhysioFit was amazing and fit me in immediately into their busy schedule as they consider clogged milk ducts an emergency treatment. A woman named Alison saw me and did the ultrasound/massage treatment to help me out.

My case was severe, so after my appointment, Alison told me to stay in the room and that she'd come back after

Physiofit is excellent! They helped me recover from a broken femur in 2004. Now I am recovering from a total hip replacement. Kim and Janet are creative problem solvers. They figure out alternatives for me when I am unable to do certain things. They also challenge me as I improve. Everyone at Physiofit is kind and friendly. I highly recommend their services.

I came here for plugged ducts. I was in so much pain and so frustrated, and they squeezed me in that same day. It took 3 sessions over the course of a week, but if it weren't for them, I don't know how I would have resolved it! I had dealt with plugged ducts for over 2 months before I finally saw them, and I wish I would have gone sooner! Not only did they "fix" me, but they taught me the techniques so I could "fix" myself and/or prevent future plugs from occurring. I am SO grateful to Kim and Samantha! You ladies saved my sanity during a challenging time as a new

I love that Kaya and Stephanie do their best to provide exercises that are at my level. Nothing is done with a cookie cutter approach and I am respected as an individual patient. They understand my need to exercise and keep moving. If I am strong enough to do an exercise that is more challenging or more interesting/dynamic, they will suggest it to me.

I came to here to treat my exercise inflicted back pain & I was very impressed. The facility is clean & welcoming. The front desk staff & the tech Keya took really good care of me. She is very professional and knowledgeable & after just two visits my pain is gone! She emailed me some home exercises to do at home and it really helped. They are very clear about what you will be paying out of pocket & so you don't have to worry about the cost.

Overall it was a wonderful experience & I would highly recommend them!

If you need physical therapy, this is the place to go! Calm, quiet, clean with privacy every time. Kim has actually taken me from having extreme pain in my lower right back to having none. Yes, it's chronic pain & will return at some point. But to walk in in extreme pain and then out with it gone was wonderful.
My physical therapy is carefully and personally selected and supervised by a single qualified physical therapist. No handing me off to a technician for part of the session & then seeing the therapist for only a few minutes. These folks are professional, kind and well trained

Be very careful if you decide to come here!!!

My family doctor recommended this place to me, therefore I totally trust them. Before my first therapy, they said they'd checked with my insurance company and I only need to pay co-pay $30 per visit. I do love my therapist, Janet, and that's why I kept going there for 5 months. Then one day I got the HUGE bill from them and was told they are not the network provider and I need to pay $105 per visit.

Really feel frustrated and unfair. Why at the very beginning they got the wrong information and why it takes them so long (5 months) to find

10 minutes with my orthopedist for "diagnosis"; 1 and a half hours with Janet, my PT at Physiofit for "diagnosis confirmation"... turns out - the orthopedist was likely not correct. But how could he have been sure having only spent 10 minutes with me? Well of course, because he makes a few hundred thousand dollars a year! :-|

I have been SO impressed with (specifically) Janet at Physiofit whom I have been seeing for some shoulder pain for a couple of months now. I went in with a diagnosis of "rotator cuff tearing" which yes I did have (so said an MRI) but after

My OB-Gyn referred me to this physical therapy office due to my pregnancy-induced sciatic nerve pain. This is a very nice office. When you walk in, the front desk girls are very polite and remember your name.

My therapist, Theresa, was great. She did a full exam, asked me a lot of questions about my discomfort.

The office has private rooms and in the back, they have their mini-gym complete with an exercise bike, yoga balls, rubber bands, mats, etc. They also offer yoga classes!
