We are a hidden gem, nestled into our tiny community of Old Cottage Grove which was settled in 1843. Our historic, white, gothic arched roof dairy barn is the icon of Cottage Grove and sits on 5 acres of green grass, pastures, emblematic oak trees, and overlooks a valley with stunning sunsets. Old Cottage Grove was founded by New England settlers recreating the East's Greek Revival architecture in the historic homes.
You are not required to use our approved caterers for late night snacks (the vendor must be licensed to serve food). Historic Furber Farm is more than just a wedding venue - we have opened our gates as a corporate event venue in Cottage Grove, Minnesota as well. Away from the hustle and bustle of turbulent city banalities, Furber Farm provides a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Along with the farm's rustic appeal and interior wooden dcor, rooms are fully air-conditioned or heated, giving guests a fresh and cozy stay.
We have main floor bathrooms with handicap accessible stalls to include baby changing stations in the male and female bathrooms. There is also a full bathroom in the bridal suite and a unisex bathroom on the second-floor game room. Would we be able to gather our things and take them Sunday morning instead of Saturday night?.

Historic Furber Farm was a beautiful venue. I would have given it 5 stars if the food delivery had been faster and smoother. The wedding was over at 4:00 and it was 6:45 before we were served dinner. It took a long time to serve food from one end of the room to the other and the food was not hot (just barely warm). There were some appetizers served in the meantime, but they were not tempting, and I prefer to save my appetite for my meal. The meal was very good, it was chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and vegetables. The salad before dinner was tasty as well. Overall, a picturesque place for

We went though a ton of venue options and as soon as we walked through the Furber on our initial visit we canceled all other tours. They were so easy to work with from day 1 and their preferred vendors did an amazing job and were has hassle free as you can get which made our wedding day go that much more smoothly. The entire property is the perfect venue for pictures, ceremony, dinner, dancing, and everything else we could have wanted all in one package!

We had looked at multiple venues, they were all just starting to look the same until our last tour here. As soon as we left my husband said, I seen your face light up, this is the one isn’t it?! Yes!!!

We had our wedding at Furber Farm on July 30, 2021 and we were OBSESSED!!!! I was blown away not only at the venue (which was spectacular) but also at how helpful Angi and Wayne were. From vendor recommendations to helping with our table layouts and executing a beautiful wedding, Furber Farm was perfect. We have received SO many compliments from our guests about how amazing the venue was. We had our ceremony in the grass, our cocktail party in the back patio and the reception and dancing inside the barn and everyone mentioned how because of that split, it felt like we had 3 totally different spaces

My wife and I looked at multiple venues and chose Furber Farm as it blew us away (I didn’t have much say in the matter but I would’ve chose it too). Our groomsman sweet was fantastic. The patio outside and landscaping they did the past year looked great. We had bars outside and inside, the dance floor was massive, and we loved the vibe Furber has. The owners are wonderful people who are accommodating and helpful. 5/5.

What a venue! My husband and I had our wedding at Furber Farm May 21st, 2021 and could not have been happier with our decision for our big day! Through out the whole planning process, Diana, Angi and Wayne were so helpful, easy to work with and great with communication. They are also wonderful and very nice people. The venue is absolutely STUNNING and we were able to utilize the entire event space. Our ceremony was in the front with beautiful stone for the ceremony space, our cocktail hour was on their brand new back patio that has its own marble top bar, and our reception was in the spacious barn

We absolutely loved John P. Furber Farm! I had my eye on it for a couple years after attending a friend’s wedding there and was over the moon when the dream became a reality for our own wedding. It is so beautiful and we are still receiving compliments from our family and friends on how nice and special the venue is.
