I was born on the west coast of Scotland in a seaport town called Saltcoats. Very, very far from Orange County, California, but very close to my heart. Being the daughter of a painter (who dealt mostly with oils), it wasn't long before I found my own creative outlet. It seemed like such a long time ago when my older brother "handed down" my first SLR camera.
Since then, photography has been my creative focus. After moving to California, the opportunity to fully express this passion had become a reality. I love great storytelling and do my best to convey that appreciation in my event photography. As one of Orange County's premiere wedding photographers, I work hard to provide images that provoke feelings, inspire thought, or just make you smile.

Amanda Skye photography was recommended by one of my friends and I’m glad that I decided to have my daughter’s first birthday photo shoot with her. She was very accommodating in my theme which was unicorns. We choose the cake smash session which includes the cake. She was very patient with my daughter because she was scared of the unicorn cake. I wasn’t expecting the numerous outfit changes and the multiple backdrops. I’m sure if my daughter is old enough to understand she was the super star of the day. A friend referred Amanda to me when I was looking for a newborn photographer. After emailing her, I decided to do a year package. It’s so affordable, and it’s so nice to be able to capture the major milestones in my son’s life. Amanda takes care of everything - themes, clothes, and props. She really makes things easier! I was referred to Amanda by a friend. I was looking for newborn packages, and she offers the best packages! There are several options and they’re reasonably priced. Being a first time mother, I was very overwhelmed and nervous at our first session. Amanda took care of everything: Outfits, themes, accessories. She made it so easy by not having to stress out about what to wear or even what to do. She’s patient and really take her time with our sessions. I just sit back and let her run the show. My husband and I were very pleased with Amanda’s photography shoot for our newborn. It was great watching her work with our little peanut. She is so calm and attentive to babies, she’s like the baby whisperer! We can’t wait for our photos. A friend recommended her and their photos are wonderful. When I was first referred to Amanda for my newborns photoshoot, right away I loved how her style was. I emailed Amanda and her response to email was quick and delivered in a timely manner. In her email, she was so organized and thorough with information from A to Z. She answered any questions I had and I was sold. There are many packages to choose from. Amanda is amazing! She is one of the best newborn photographers and reasonably priced. She has done newborn and milestone pictures for all three of my kids. Amanda is patient, dedicated, accommodating, and professional. If you're a tired parent like myself, the best part is that Amanda provides everything (props, backgrounds, outfits). You just need to show up and relax.

Amanda is wonderful with newborns! She is so patient and caring with babies. It was nice that she has everything for the photoshoot; outfits, props, etc. so you don’t have to bring anything. When you have a new baby it’s hard enough just getting out of the house! Her studio is relaxing and comfortable as you wait. Definitely would recommend.

Booked the premium cake smash photo session with Amanda for my daughter and it was totally worth the price! Everything was provided— cake, outfits, accessories & everything I needed to clean off my little one after her messy cake smashing 😝 It was so easy! All I had to do was show up with my little one ☺️ Amanda has amazing backdrops, outfits, and accessory options!

Amanda is an exemplary photographer and will kindly guide you through the shoot so you can obtain the shots and looks you want to achieve.
