Clifford's Restaurant
Kindly keep in mind that we have to follow the governor's restriction and therefore are planning the best we can on a daily basis. At Clifford's Restaurant you will enjoy a wonderful dinner in an atmosphere that will make you feel you are part of our family. Nestled in the beautiful farmland of Evans City (40mns north of Pittsburgh, PA), our non-smoking restaurant is open for dinner only.

Patrons enjoy our signature menu items based on seasonal ingredients combining family recipes and our chef's creations in a simple yet elegant French country style atmosphere. Clifford's is well known for its daily features, and proposes to regular customers as well as new clients many dishes our chef Jesse creates every day, based on the availability of fresh items, meats and seafood.
Services
In 1991, Clifford Enslen had a dream of opening his own restaurant. Along with his sons, twin brothers Jesse and John, the restaurant was constructed on the property through their own efforts and it opened in 1993. Clifford Enslen passed away in 1999 but not before he saw his dream become a reality.
All entrees are served with a fresh salad, garden salad or vegetable of the day, and a choice of potato (different daily). The choice of homemade dressings includes Blue Cheese, Sour Raspberry Walnut, Cucumber, Red Beet Vinaigrette, Dijon, Ranch, or Italian. Please remember that Clifford's Restaurant is well known for its daily features.

Very friendly service. Good pizza. Clean interior. Surprising entrance and quite spacious inside. Lady who served us was really nice. Couldn't fault the service. I dont know how big the desserts are but it would be nice to insert some mid range desserts on the menu. Not willing to pay the same price for the main meal for a dessert.

My husband took me here for our one year wedding anniversary. Everything was absolutely wonderful. We started with one of the specials for an appetizer. Lamb meatballs over mashed potatoes. They were the best meatballs we ever had. We chose salads with our entree. Very fresh and the ranch dressing was amazing. The fresh warm bread was excellent. My husband had the veal romano and he loved it. I chose the surf and turf - filet & crab cakes. Filet was perfectly cooked and the crab cakes were some of the best I've ever had. Everything was perfect from start to finish ! We will def be back

My wife and I have eaten here every year for 9 years for our anniversary and sometimes on random occasions.
It is probably the best kept secret in Evans City.
The food and service is amazing. I've had some of the best food I've ever eaten here.
The crab cakes are the best I've had anywhere. And I've been around New England, and along the Eastern Coast numerous times. If crab isn't your thing, and you have more basic tastes, the pepperoni roll appetizer is basically a homemade pizza in a roll. Delicious!
I love salads, and theirs doesn't disappoint. Fresh greens,

This was our first time at this fine restaurant, coming on a gift certificate from a friend. But, we will definitely return!
In spite of Covid restrictions, the service, and especially the meals prepared, were outstanding!!
This is not fast food, so bring your own bottle, and enjoy the courses prepared at your leisure. Come here with confidence of receiving the quality you pay for and the tastes you want in a well prepared meal! Rack of lamb and Veal Scaloppine were both excellent with fresh vegetables and scalloped potatoes as sides.

Much anticipated dinner at this highly recommended restaurant. When people say out it in your GPS, they aren't kidding. Although we don't live far away I wouldn't have found it without GPS. So many folks have raved about Cliffords and we were excited to try it. Love that it's BYOB, no corkage fee. Service was excellent. A bit pricey but we knew that going into dinner. We started with the raclette appetizer. It came recommended, it was okay, but not amazing. I had the chicken Romano which was very delicious. Nice salad with homemade dressing before. The bread and rolls were very

I don't know what I can possibly say that hasn't already been said. One of the best meals of my life; crab cakes with sherry cream sauce and grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, salad (blue cheese dressing is heaven), and peach cobbler for dessert. Yeast rolls and butter to die for. Tried the mussels and Swiss fingerling potatoes, too. Delicious. Everything. Is. Delicious.
Nice ambiance. Friendly hostess and server.
BYOB.
Make a reservation.

Enjoyed a take-out dinner for Mother's Day during the COVID pandemic. As anticipated, Clifford's once again hit the mark and excelled. The quality of the food, from appetizer through dessert was incredible. The hot foods remained hot with travel to home and the freshness of every item was apparent. Thank you Clifford's for extending this option. Please offer again -- soon! Who would think that a take out meal would top the list for the all time favorite on Mother's Day?!? Keep up the great work!!!

Walking into Clifford's you just know you are going to be treated like one of the family. It's small and intimate and a great place for a special occasion. We had to make a reservation 3 weeks in advance! It fills up fast. I will say my favorite part of dining here was actually the complimentary bread. They give you 3 types of bread, each very different from one another and each one is better than the next. I had to have major self control to keep from stuffing my face and having no appetite for dinner. For my entree I ordered a cod entree and my mom ordered the beef tips. They were both

Love it here. It's the kind of place you go to and can't wait to return. Portions are generous and everything is fresh and homemade.

I had an 8oz filet and grilled shrimp the last time I was there and it was excellent melt in your mouth.

You must book well in advance to dine at this fine restaurant. We know why. Our meal was wonderful.

From the moment you're greeted and the dozen off menu items are shared, you know you're about to experience something special. They did not disappoint. Every bite was delectable.

Be prepared for an interesting drive and family run location. By the time you travel there and upon arrival, your anticipation will begin its mounting peak to meal's end.

No doubt that we'll recommend this special and unique place to many others. And, we hope to return there soon.

Clifford's is unique. It's location is almost unbelievably isolated, miles from civilization, north of the city. It's a family owned place, but the family is Swiss, not a nation famed for it's cuisine. Another unusual feature is the menu, which is pretty limited and unremarkable, but not all that relevant, since they will happily cook anything you request, as long as they have the ingredients. Service is friendly to the extreme, and sincerely so. They seem to actually enjoy each of the guests that fill the tables every night. It's a BYOB restaurant, which is a positive

Cliffords is the hidden gem of the North Hills. Located in the middle of nowhere, this quaint, BYOB serves the best and freshest food around. The menu changes daily beyond the standard options and is always delicious. This time I was torn between the scallops and rack of lamb - I ordered the scallops which were perfectly prepared then ordered the rack of lamb to take home - neither disappointed!!! For Thursday through Saturday, you'll likely need to make reservations a few weeks in advance as the dining area is small and they don't turn many tables in an evening.

Going out for dinner on a holiday can be a big mistake. We made reservations for Mother's Day on the first day reservations were available.

It is BYOB. Everyone had wine or beer and a cooler/wine sleeve.

Our meal was excellent. Skip the first bread served and save the carbs for the hot out of the oven swirl biscuits. The French onion soup had a surplus of melted cheese with an original flavor. Definitely could have made a meal on just soup & bread.

We had salads with raspberry and walnut & cucumber vinaigrettes. Delicious. For dinner we had huge portions of pork loin, veal

We've been going to Clifford's for a long time - usually as a special occasion restaurant or when we want to impress out of town guests or business associates (back in the day). If you've never been here, you are in for a surprise. It is one of the TOP restaurants in the whole Pittsburgh area without question! Yep, and in Evans City of all places! Tough to find, a long drive from the city, but trust me, this is first rate in every regard.

A family owned and operated place that has an extensive menu of all fresh ingredients sourced daily, a willingness to accommodate any special
